We couldn’t have been happier to welcome spring to our doorsteps and with the positive news of legal outdoor civil weddings and partnerships staying, it really is a double-whammy of joy!

With the beautiful weather and this permanent change within the wedding landscape, we thought we’d celebrate with a selection of our outdoor wedding venues that are gracing the pages of the directory.

Birdsall House

Birdsall House boasts stunning views up to the Yorkshire Wolds and across its glorious gardens. This family-owned country house is private, picturesque and the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding.

Busbridge Lakes

A family-run marquee wedding venue in Surrey, Busbridge Lakes is home to a 2AA Heritage garden, 3 lakes and one of the largest collections of water birds in the country – all within its own private valley. There are two locations for your marquee (both as dreamy as the other), so if an outdoor wedding is making you swoon, this is the place to tie the knot!

Cornish Tipi Weddings

You’ll be spoilt with a wild garden and woodland that makes you feel like you’re miles away from anywhere – even though you’re just 20 minutes from Waterloo!

The Dairy at Waddeson

The Dairy is nestled in a tranquil waterside wedding venue, featuring glorious gardens, a lake and two charming pavilions. You can enjoy fizz on the Dairy Courtyard, photograph opportunities by the private lakes and a marquee with capacity for up to 250 guests.

Upthorpe Wood

Set in a magical woodland, Upthorpe Wood endeavours to take you on a real adventure. The Gardens

Here, you’ll be spoilt with 16 breath-taking gardens, where you can tie the knot surrounded by nothing but blooms and birdsong. An iconic outdoor wedding venue in Kent, The Gardens will give you endless photograph backdrops, a choice of three ceremony locations and bespoke Nordic tipis for your reception.

Ash Barton Estate

Ash Barton Estate is set within 50 acres of beautiful North Devon countryside, with coastal views, wildflower meadows and tranquil lakes. Available to hire on an exclusive-use basis, there are 13 licensed locations on the estate, including the walled garden, courtyard and wildflower meadow. Relaxed outdoor wedding venues don’t get much better than this!

Wootton Park

Set in its own 360-acre of rolling Warwickshire countryside, Wootton Park is an exclusive barn with an outdoor lakeside ceremony area to get wed. It is home to landscaped grounds, gardens and woodland, offering you the space to create everlasting memories.

Kiftsgate Court Gardens

Kiftsgate Court Gardens provides a true garden paradise in the Cotswolds, where you’ll have exclusive use of one of England’s most romantic gardens. There is space for a marquee for up to 250 people, where the garden is in its prime in May, June and July.

Henry Moore Studios & Garden 

Just 40 miles north of London in the Hertfordshire countryside, this unique outdoor wedding venue showcases artist Henry Moore’s iconic sculptures. There are oodles of options available, along with The Dane Tree House promising the perfect choice for an intimate ceremony and evening reception.

The Walled Garden at Cowdray

Renowned as one of Sussex’s best kept secrets, The Walled Garden at Cowdray guarantees an enchanting location to host your special day. Whether you want a small celebration or a more elaborate soirée, the venue is licensed for ceremonies in the rose adorned garden. It really is dreamy!

The Fire Pit Camp

Located in the heart of Norfolk, The Fire Pit Camp is made for fun, unique and epic outdoor weddings. You’ll find a camping meadow, a vintage double decker bus, an industrial warehouse cocktail bar and two handmade glamping structures. Dorset Woodland Weddings

We’ll end our outdoor wedding venue feature with Dorset Woodland Weddings – a truly idyllic family farm on the Dorset / Somerset / Wiltshire border. Located within 25 acres of organic pasture, it’s completely private and incredibly quiet. There’s space for a marquee or tipi, with a beautiful woodland ceremony area surrounded by bluebells and photograph backdrops aplenty.
