The Setting
The Fire Pit Camp is in the heart of Norfolk and available to hire out privately so you can have your very own beautiful festival and outdoor wedding.
The Fire Pit Camp is nestled in a little village in the heart of Norfolk, between Swaffham and Dereham and only 30 – 45 mins away from both Norwich and the North Norfolk Coast. Their nearest train stations are Norwich and Kings Lynn, both are well serviced by the X1 bus route which stops in the village but they do recommend the easy option of booking a taxi.
The Vibe
The Fire Pit Camp is a fabulously unique rural, eco-conscious wedding venue, with a wonderful camping meadow, a vintage double decker bus, an industrial warehouse cocktail bar, and two beautiful handmade glamping structures.
There is something special about being wed outdoors under their beautiful open ceremony room which looks out into the meadow, the perfect natural setting filled with sunlight and fresh air. Stoke the fire pit as it gets dark and make your way to The Warehouse for an amazing reception, cocktails and dancing! The stunning warehouse with its own 20ft cocktail bar is fully stocked with local beers, fair trade organic soft drinks and hand selected wines, makes for a rocking reception, adding an industrial rustic feel, it features design led elements and lovely lighting.
The Fire Pit Camp also provide their in-house expert stylist for all those extra special styling details to make your wedding day absolutely and completely perfect.
They have a camping meadow for your guests which is home to their 6 bell tents, The Little Hut and The Wren’s Nest. You can also bring your own provisions or hire in extra bell tents too! With a fire pit, modern facilities in a former timber goat-shed (now housing 2 butler sinks, oak worktop, communal fridge, plug point, 3 loos, 1 shower and lots of free hot water), a natural play area and footie pitch and a retro double-decker bus to hang out on, this is quite the setting for your guests!
The jewel in their crown is their handmade, hazel dome bender-tent which is called The Wren’s Nest. Located in the meadow, it has a wood-burner, real beds and a mini kitchen – perfect camping comfort for the bride & groom. It can also play host to the bridal party preparations for up to 7 of the bridal party staying over!
The Wren’s Nest is available all year round for self-catered glamping holidays and romantic, back-to-nature breaks, hens and stags too, just in case you fancied a trial run. Onsite they also have The Yoga Yurt and private Hatha yoga lessons are available as Sarah and Jodie are trained British Wheel of Yoga teachers.
There is a large country house within the site that sleeps up to 12 – perfect for non-camping guests and relatives.
They do allow one or two very well behaved dogs (they must always be supervised and cleaned up after) at an extra charge.
The team are passionate about being mindful to the environment, so if you would like your loving celebration to be an eco-conscious wedding they are for you!
