Choosing the perfect wedding venue is very similar to finding the right home—the one, if you will. There are practicalities and logistics (and budgets) to bear in mind, but it often boils down to the warmth and magic you feel from the moment you arrive. This feeling is exactly what we had in mind when curating this selection of some of our favourite wedding venues with accommodation in the UK.

Having accommodation at your chosen venue not only means you can create a home-from-home/wedding village vibe, but you can also simplify logistics, extend the celebrations to include a pre-wedding cocktail party, post-wedding brunch/pool party, and it means those tired dancing feet can always take a (brief) break and slip into something a little more comfortable for going the distance on the dance floor! With all of this in mind, it’s no wonder couples are being savvy with their priorities (and budget), choosing precious time with their loved ones via a multi-day wedding experience over lavish florals and statement gowns (some are doing this too, of course!).

Here, you can expect luxury, magnificence and complete exclusivity (if you wish), 17 guest bedrooms, dramatic staterooms, a decadent honeymoon suite (Duchess Chandos Suite), and a luxurious prep area.

Enjoy this characterful estate as your own private escape to explore and enjoy. Camel Studio

Overlooking the rolling hills of the Camel Valley in Cornwall, Camel Studio is a unique and idyllic venue. Helen and Dave, the passionate and detail-focused owners of Camel Studio, bring a personal touch, going above and beyond to ensure couples have the most beautiful day. On-site, their stylish boutique accommodation sleeps eight, allowing couples and their guests to settle in and enjoy a relaxed, holiday-like atmosphere. This is a true hidden treasure!

Chapel House Estate

Nestled close to the Kent coast with panoramic views, Chapel House Estate is an exclusive-use venue designed for love-filled celebrations and luxury stays. The estate features a romantic orchard for outdoor ceremonies, a stunning banqueting barn for receptions, and a charming converted Chapel with five luxurious bedrooms. Additionally, there are nine contemporary Hideaway Lodges in the west paddock that offer understated luxury for guests and when it comes to the morning after, everything is taken care of. The award-winning on-site restaurant is the perfect location for everyone to gather, enjoy some delicious breakfast, and indulge in a post-wedding debrief!

Dewsall Court

Dewsall Court exudes a familiar, warm, and relaxing atmosphere, making it feel like a beloved countryside retreat as soon as you step foot on the Herefordshire soil. This is the character and appeal of Dewsall, a family-owned manor house overlooking the Black Mountains: it’s lived in and much loved, yet you have the freedom to make it your own. Offering couples exclusive use for extended weekends or midweek stays, when it comes to accommodation, there are eight bedrooms in the main house and two more in the Cottage Barn within the grounds, each with a story (and magnificent bath to sink into!). With the addition of the glass-sided reception space (the Wainhouse barn), acres of orchards, a lake, manicured and wild gardens, and an idyllic on-site church, Dewsall is the ultimate escape for those who love the countryside with a side order of quirk.

Elmley Nature Reserve

Tucked away on the Isle of Sheppey, just 50 miles south of London, is Elmley Nature Reserve, a 3200-acre expanse of marshland. Elmley has a magical, end-of-the-world atmosphere, albeit—quite literally—with added creature comforts. As well as being a glorious place to immerse yourself in nature, it’s also home to a versatile wedding venue which looks gorgeous as an empty shell, or you can go to town and make the space your own.

Onsite, dotted around the reserve, are a handful of secluded shepherds’ huts and a Victorian farmhouse that has been meticulously restored and features six luxurious and stylish bedrooms. The accommodation has been finely tuned with the surroundings and views in mind, not to mention the interiors whose palette is inspired by the evocative and extraordinary range of colours of Elmey’s ever-changing skies. This is a carefully considered and totally dreamy wedding venue, but it’s also a pretty perfect weekend escape.

fforest

Time seems to slow down at fforest, a rustic and rural Welsh venue offering a wholesome space to gather and celebrate. Wrapped in woodlands and surrounded by wildlife, fforest is the perfect location for a relaxed, informal, weekend-long celebration. With a focus on connecting with nature, many wedding spaces are outdoors, and most accommodations feature outside living areas, inviting guests to cook, eat, and unwind in the fresh air. Having been fortunate enough to have visited (and stayed) at the magnificent Hampton Manor, we can attest that this very cool Midlands venue is the epitome of ‘home-from-home’ luxury. The interiors are perfect for the modern couple and their guests: stylish, welcoming, and a glorious clash of colour, pattern, and texture. Although ‘modern’ in style, mid-century flourishes and original features are abundant through this Arts and Crafts, William Morris-inspired venue. Pair this with a serious food ethos, beautiful grounds, and an accessible location, and you have an exceptional wedding offering.

Huntsham Court

Huntsham Court is a grand Victorian Gothic manor that offers a “home-from-stately-home” experience without the usual, sometimes stuffy formalities. Set in the rolling Devon countryside near Exmoor National Park, this historic private hire estate is one of the top wedding venues in the South West and one of our personal faves.

With 42 unique and luxurious bedrooms, Huntsham Court can accommodate up to 100 guests on-site (yes, really!), providing the ultimate private celebration space. Less than two hours from London, this is a gorgeous spot for a relaxed yet grand gathering where privacy and luxury reign supreme. Couples and their guests can enjoy five grand reception rooms, a two-story vaulted kitchen, and the freedom to make the estate entirely their own.
