Their wedding was a heady mix of elegance and romance all tied together by the most beautiful details, hand-made with love by the creative couple.
Clare’s attention to detail and eye for style set my heart a-flutter and it should comes as no surprise that Clare is in fact Mrs White of White than White Weddings blog fame.
A self-confessed lover of weddings, Clare started her own blog to document her wedding planning and to share beautiful inspiration for other Brides-to-be.
Clare is back on the Coco Blog today with some exciting news and a beautiful styled shoot, involving none other than her beloved venue of choice Sheldon Manor…
With an established career designing prints and patterns for fashion designer Paul Smith, I founded UK wedding style blog Whiter than White Weddings just over a year ago as an outlet to express all that inspires me.
Whiter than White Weddings provides utterly stylish and design-led wedding inspiration. Featuring artistically collated mood boards, ideas and beautiful real weddings – all hand picked for the discerning bride!
Whiter than White features only the most sought after designers, suppliers and industry professionals, so with this in mind I am very excited to announce that Whiter than White has just started to offer a wedding styling, consultancy and design service exclusively at Sheldon Manor!
Having planned and styled my own wedding at Sheldon Manor, I have had the pleasure of working first hand with many of the venues trusted suppliers and am therefore able to offer unique inside knowledge and expertise for events at this truly beautiful and untouched country Manor House.
It was an honour to assist the team at Sheldon Manor with their recent Open Event which fell over Valentines weekend, it also gave me the opportunity to once again style the beautiful surroundings…
I chose a sweetheart table for two as the focus.
The setting was within the stunning baronial style ‘Great Hall’ with its wood paneling, large stone fire place and a Bechstein grand piano! Now, I’m no fan of the traditional red and white valentine vibe and therefore opted for a dark, moody aesthetic with a touch of glamour thrown in for good measure!
A palette of deep jewel like tones, mixed with saturated fuchsia and raspberry shades was softened with hints of white and blush pink. The look was lifted with golden embellishments and the soft glow of candlelight, twinkling textiles and cut glass tableware were set against a backdrop of rich wood tones. A selection of brass candlesticks with pure white tapered candles added height and drama. Each of the place settings had rustic tin heart moulds, painted gold and filled with sweets and Rococo chocolate bars tied with golden metal hearts for after dinner treats! Ombre watercolour heart garlands were strewn across chair backs and used as coasters.
For the florals I took seasonal spring blooms including anemones, ranuculas, tulips, clematis, wax flowers and the odd rose for good measure. Dark, sultry blackberry toned peppercorns and painted black wood were mixed amongst the petals…
