It’s Loved by Coco time and once again it’s just all so, so pretty!
I found and fell in love with Especially Amy (Amy Murrell) when I saw her wedding photography at one of the Coco Venues – The Rectory. I simply had to drop her a note. So now, not only will you find Amy’s work in several of our venue galleries but you will also find her on our brand new Supplier Love List on the directory.
Yep, we’re big fans here, so today it’s so lovely to share the story of Amy, her wanderlust bug and her love for big day details…

Especially Amy: The big thing I love about weddings is that no two are ever the same. Each has its own special feel to it. And each time I shoot a wedding I’m as excited about it as I was the last. I feel pretty lucky being a part of the happiest day of people’s lives, week after week.
I love capturing the different bits of the day – the preparation and excitement in the morning, the peace and emotion of the ceremony and the huge smiles at the reception afterwards. On top of that I get to provide people with photographs they’ll hold onto for a lifetime… As a job, you can’t beat it.
I also love weddings because they take me all over the place! Ever since my Mum bought me a light-up globe when I was little I’ve loved travelling, and last year I was lucky enough to go to all sorts of beautiful spots in Italy and France, not to mention Loch Lomond, Cornwall, Somerset, York, Norfolk and all over London.

I’ve shot weddings in country house hotels like The Rectory, as well as beautiful big houses like Chippenham Park, Voewood and Boconnoc. And not forgetting all of the weddings in people’s gardens, village halls and extra special finds like industrial location houses in East London.
Finally, it always amazes me how much care people put into every last detail, from flowers, colour schemes and table plans to first dances and, of course, THE dress. But they do, and I love recording all the tiny little details so couples can remember and share them for years to come.
My Brand
Nobody likes bossy photographers! Especially me. So I’m all about working in a relaxed and unobtrusive way to capture key moments, telling the story of people’s special day. ..

From make up to tidy up, or less if people prefer, I’m happy to work as long or as little as people like. I also think that the best pictures are the natural ones. So, as well as doing some group shots and formal photos, most of my photographs are reportage to catch brides, grooms and guests when they’re relaxed, and to record all the moments that make the day so special.
Finally, I do my best not to get in the way! I don’t use a flash during the ceremony, for example. And I’m as quick as possible with the formal photos afterwards, so people don’t miss their own reception (it’s surprising how often this can happen).
I’m based in London, but I’m very happy to travel.
Advice
Stay calm and try to enjoy the planning… It can be overwhelming, all consuming, stressful and sometimes not feel as you expected it to! But rest assured that it WILL all be worth it. All of your ideas and dreams will come together and you’ll have the most magical of days.
