When looking for a venue, we wanted it to be in a location that really felt special. When we came across Boconnoc we knew it was perfect. We loved the stable yard vibe, but also fell in love with the modern grandeur of the house itself. It felt like this secret magical part of the world that we had discovered and were excited to bring all our friends and family there.

We had the most fantastic time, and loved the fact we had the Estate to ourselves for the whole weekend.

Due to Covid we have done 3 residencies and planned three weddings at Boconnoc! That said, it has been marvellous. Seeing Boconnoc at different times of year, meeting the team and owners, seeing the gardens in different stages of bloom has been wonderful for us. Our family has had two weddings at Boconnoc now, and may there be many more! It is a superb location.

The team are also sublime. We couldn’t have asked for more from you. Your prompt replies, WhatsApp messages to set our minds at ease and flexibility was amazing. You never worry about the weather and will lend your hand to anything, be that serving at the bar or assembling gazebos and lighting fire pits. I hope that for all the couples that follow us down the aisle that you’re still at Boconnoc to take care of them.

Kay and all the ‘behind the scenes’ staff were outstanding. Nothing would work if it wasn’t for this team of dedicated individuals who are rarely at the forefront but are the real driving gear behind such a successful wedding venue. Thank you and the guests appreciate you.

And then there was Louise, who appeared the evening before out of the blue, what an angel! She is the superwoman you didn’t know you needed, both days. Thank you so much Louise for everything, you are the best!

Quite frankly the best weekend of our lives at Boconnoc House. We hired the whole venue for our wedding weekend in August, and it was pure magic the whole way through. We have never experienced such fantastic service and accommodating staff – friendly, efficient and warm. Breakfast to die for… we won’t be forgetting those delicious sausages! We won’t write much more as we want to send a personal thank you to the team with every moment that was special to us, but if you’re thinking about booking Boconnoc, do it!

My Daughter, Hannah, married Josh at Boconnoc the weekend of the 17th June. It was a truly brilliant weekend and the staff at Boconnoc helped to make it a very special time for us. In particular, we felt Louise went above and beyond and was there to help us with all sorts of issues. She was so friendly and professional and helped reduce last minute stress levels sorting out things, and I therefore wanted to pass on our appreciation for her.

We fell in love with Boconnoc from the first day we went to see it and getting married there was a dream come true! We got married at Boconnoc Church and held the ceremony within the house afterwards, it was absolutely beautiful! The house itself is stunning and the grounds are spectacular. We got married in July, at the time a long stretch of beautiful hydrangea were in bloom, as we drove down through the deer park, it was a scene to remember! That aside, the team at Boconnoc are wonderful, they are so helpful along the planning process and made it all so much easier than we expected. The rooms are stunning and decorated tastefully. Our family and friends had a wonderful time, as did we! It is the ideal wedding venue.

In the most perfectly enchanting way, it’s not immediately clear what Boconnoc is: a functioning estate, a living parish and church, a transportation into some of Britain’s most vivid history, a set of buildings which brim with stories of the most humble and most revered, stunningly kept gardens and wild grounds, a cluster of cottages for relaxation and rest, a delight of cleverly considered interiors flowing with luxury, all set in amongst a soundscape of tranquility that is quite simply hard to find anywhere else. We have now visited three times, in three different ways. The first time we visited for the day, touring the grounds with our mouths wide open. The second time we stayed in a cottage for a week, embalmed in luxury, hosted with clotted cream teas, dramatic coastal walks and deep relaxation. The third time we brought 100 friends and family, staying for a long weekend. We got married in the church, we fine dined and danced in summer sunshine, we watched fireworks over the hills, and drank until merry. We BBQ’d in the stableyard, we treasure-hunted through the grounds, played cricket on the lawns, we walked along the beaches and we played games late into the night. Leaving was desperately tough for everyone. In its team, especially the Fortescue family, Sima, Grace and Louise, you will find people who lovingly share with you what they are privileged to enjoy on a daily basis, and for whom your experience matters deeply. My wife and I eventually hit upon what Boconnoc is. It is precisely what you want it to be. An opportunity to create your own stories, whatever they might be, in a setting that warmly returns the love and care that you will inevitably have for it. We’ll return again and again.

We got married at this venue in August and couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day! I fell in love with Boconnoc from the moment I stepped foot on the grounds and as a historian, I was attracted by the site’s abundant history, unique character, and stunning architecture. The perfect blend of old and new, Boconnoc truly is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. It also helps that it is located in one of my favourite parts of the U.K. – Cornwall. In fact, when my husband (who is from America) visited the venue for the first time, he was actually lost for words! From the grounds, to the house, to the church, it is simply breathtaking. When we arrived the day before the wedding, we were blown away by the kindness and attention to detail demonstrated by the Boconnoc staff. Both Grace and Louise were absolutely fantastic – they made us feel so welcome that it almost felt as if Boconnoc was our own home for the duration of our stay! Additionally, nothing was ever too much trouble for them, and they helped things run so smoothly. The rooms where our wedding guests stayed were beautifully done, and everyone looked forward to coming down for breakfast each morning. Not only was the food fantastic, but the staff made such an effort with small details and decorations. On the day after the wedding, we were delighted to see the breakfast table so beautifully decorated with our wedding flowers. It was a lovely touch. Thank you so much Boconnoc, we can’t wait to visit again in the near future!

We want to thank you for helping us to make our wedding day more special than we could ever have imagined. The amount of help and support we had from the Boconnoc team was incredible. They could not have done anymore for us. We look forward to seeing you all again and staying at Boconnoc which will now hold a special place in our hearts.

I got married at Boconnoc just over 4 weeks ago and I honestly could not have asked for a more wonderful venue. We had the whole event within the Stable Block and hired all the rooms within the house and the 3 cottages. This meant we could have the best of both worlds in the sense we had the luxurious accommodation but the rustic and relaxed feel we wanted for our wedding. The estate is breathtaking and has many beautiful walks. The house has been stylishly updated and all the bedrooms are luxurious especially the Kings Bedroom. The 3 cottages are also beautiful, my personal favourite being The Dairy Cottage which we are already talking about having a holiday in. The Stable Block consists of several rooms, a kitchen and a stunning courtyard area. It was perfect for hosting the wedding of our dreams. On top of all of this, the staff at Boconnoc were extremely helpful and tolerant of my endless emails full of questions, especially in the week before the wedding. Once we were on site there was always a member of staff on hand to help with any queries and offering to do things. I never believed I could be so relaxed on my wedding day but Boconnoc with its breathtaking surroundings and wonderful staff made that possible. My husband and I cannot thank them enough for making our magical day happen.

We had the enormous pleasure of staying for two nights in Groomsman on the occasion of the wedding of Catherine and Dominic.  The quality of our stay was second to none and the very ample breakfast and afternoon tea hampers were delicious and of a very high standard.  We also wanted to say how very impressed we were too with the catering team responsible for delivering a very high standard wedding breakfast.  The predominantly young table staff worked tremendously hard and were very professional.  There was nothing we could fault about our stay and are very happy to recommend you highly.
