Indulge in this heady dose of winter romance…

With winter well and truly set in and surrounded by fluffy sheep, rugged fields and blustery fells, we wanted to bring a whopping big dose of glam to our dreamy and wild Lake District setting. Deep reds, heavy lace, heavy silk, sharp suits and without a doubt an awesome list of suppliers brought the festive fairytale vibe to life.

We went all out glam with our very own handsome as heck Prince in a tux and two divine dresses by independent exquisite dressmaker Mariee Bridal Couture. The sharp black suit and dicky bow was a classic look with an edge of cool as were the two stunning dresses. Two two-pieces in fact – one high neck with lashings of beautiful lace from top to tail, elegant and sexy, perfect for a chilly crisp day. A sleek long ponytail finished the look, giving

And the second two piece – a real jaw dropper, the most beautiful heavy silk, full and voluptuous skirt, paired with a silk corset style top. Our gorgeous model wore it with effortless chic, with her dark bob and full deep red lips.

The Lovable Old Barn at Low Hall The Lakes provided the charming setting for the sumptuous wintery celebration. Adorned in festoon lights and candles on black pillars, bringing twinkle to the dark day. And, although it was a verrrry dark winter’s day, we managed to get out to the cottage garden and windswept private lane which tootles down to the hidden venue. Our floral whiz Hollie at Sprigs & Berries created a classic yet cool and contemporary bouquet and buttonhole, with lots of gorgeous reds, bundles of foliage and rich velvet ribbon to finish the look. Over our festive table Hollie used some charming old wooden ladders as the base for her hanging centerpiece which crowned the table and foliage runner below.

The backdrop to the ceremony was created by rich red flowers and foliage gently hanging from one of the old beams above – subtle, magical and hopelessly romantic.

All in all a fabulous helping of festive fairytale glam to get you in the mood for Christmas ‘I dos’ with more style than Santa has red hats. Giving inspiration for couples looking to get hitched in the colder months through till Spring. Showing you can do festive without the cheese and just the romance.

Although we’ll keep the cheese boards please!
