Their June wedding made full use of its Cornish setting, from an outdoor ceremony and wildflower-inspired styling to gorgeous portraits overlooking the sea later in the day. Lyra & Moth captured it all beautifully across digital and film, while Sarah’s sister provided one particularly lovely detail: three wedding cakes in the couple’s favourite flavours. Scroll on, and you’ll soon see why they stopped the search after just one venue.

Tredudwell Manor was the very first venue we visited, and I immediately knew it was where I wanted to get married. Set amongst rolling hills and by our beautiful Cornish coastline, the manor was exactly what I had envisioned for our wedding.
The outdoor ceremony area was perfect, and the barn was equally beautiful. We also loved having everything in one place, so we didn’t waste any time on the day.
The team at Tredudwell were another huge part of our decision. After meeting Hayley for the first time, I felt completely confident that we were in safe hands. I knew that she would understand exactly what we wanted from the day. In the end, it was an easy decision – we booked it straight away.

My dress was the Grayson by MWL, which I bought from Kiva and Zen Bridal in Truro on my only trip to a bridal shop. It is a simple, backless halter-neck dress in French crepe; it felt chic and elegant, and it was so flattering that I said yes immediately. I wanted to add a little drama, so I paired the dress with an overskirt for part of the day. My veil had delicate pearl embellishment, which I loved against the dress’s simplicity.
My hair was styled by the wonderful Becky at Bear Bridal Hair. We went with a beautiful updo that worked perfectly with my dress’s halter neckline. My makeup was done by local makeup artist Antonia Grace. I wanted to feel like myself, so we kept the look natural with soft pink tones around the eyes.
For my bridesmaids, I chose dresses from Six Stories in a gorgeous burnt-peach shade. I fell in love with the satin and one-shoulder design; it felt both classic and still a little different.

Our styling was very much inspired by the natural beauty of Tredudwell and the surrounding Cornish countryside. We wanted the overall look to feel rustic and understated, but still elegant.
We hired furniture from Virginia’s Vintage Hire, including a rustic bar for our welcome drinks and long trestle tables for the wedding breakfast. The combination gave the space a lovely informal feel, while the long tables still added a sense of grandeur.
Our colour palette was soft and natural, with gentle greens and pastel pinks throughout. We wanted everything to feel cohesive without being too heavily styled.

Our florist was the wonderful Rebecca from The Garden Gate Flower Company, and she completely brought our vision to life.
We wanted a wildflower-inspired look with soft, natural pastel tones. At the ceremony, we had large urns filled with flowers, which were then moved inside for the reception so that we could enjoy them throughout the day. For the tables, we chose floral arrangements at different heights to create that same effortless, natural wildflower feel. We also had beautiful foliage running across the entrance beam and over the arch behind the top table, which helped to tie all the rustic styling together.
My bouquet was a colourful mixture of different seasonal flowers. It felt sophisticated yet natural and effortless, exactly what I wanted.

Our wedding cake was particularly special because it was made by my very talented sister, who loves baking in her spare time. She made three beautiful tiered cakes, each featuring our favourite flavours: lemon and blueberry, red velvet, and Victoria sponge.
For our catering, we chose Divine Dining. We wanted the food to feel relaxed and generous, rather than too formal, so we started with large canapés served on beautiful wooden boards as guests arrived.
For the main meal, we opted for a hog roast with sharing platters, served in bowls at the tables. It was exactly the kind of relaxed dining experience we wanted, and the food was beautifully presented. Most importantly, nobody was left waiting or wondering when the next course was coming!
We also had a dessert table filled with cheesecake, brownies and meringue. Later in the evening, we brought out BBQ favourites including burgers, hot dogs and chicken skewers — the perfect indulgent food to finish the night.
Divine Dining were also fantastic with dietary requirements, which I was slightly worried about with a sharing-style meal. They provided individual plates and personally checked in with guests to make sure everyone was happy and had everything they needed.

We chose Sarah from Lyra & Moth. Neither my husband nor I particularly enjoy being the centre of attention, so having someone photograph us throughout the day initially felt quite daunting.
I saw Sarah’s work at a previous wedding at Tredudwell when I went to view the venue, and I loved how she captured the day. Her photographs were beautiful yet felt incredibly natural, whimsical, and full of emotion, which was exactly what we were looking for.
Sarah has such a lovely ability to capture all those important moments without making you feel overwhelmed by having your photos taken. We could simply enjoy ourselves, and she captured everything as it naturally unfolded.

It’s almost impossible to choose one favourite moment because I honestly enjoyed every single second. But one moment I didn’t expect to love as much as I did was sitting with our family at the end of the night, talking about how the day went and what unfolded.
I thought I would feel exhausted and sad that it was all over, but instead we were shocked and happy that it went so perfectly, and we couldn’t believe how much fun we had.
It was such a relief to know all the stress and planning had been worth it, and it was so lovely to finally be married, sit back, and take it all in.

My biggest piece of advice would be to try to be present on the day itself. There is so much pressure for everything to go perfectly, especially when you’ve spent so much time, energy and money planning it all. If you’re anxious and know you’ll stress over every little detail, make sure someone can take that responsibility off your hands.
We were lucky to have Hayley as part of our package at Tredudwell. Having her there meant I could really relax, knowing everything was taken care of and I didn’t need to worry about what was next. Honestly, as soon as I started getting ready, the stress melted away, and I enjoyed every second.
