About

The Setting

Hidden away in a luscious corner of the Lake District, down a long country lane, you’ll find this grand old Lakeland stone barn and 17th century farmhouse. Set in secluded grounds away from the world with an enchanted woodland, babbling brook, fairytale pond, historic character and views over the Lakeland fells to swoon endlessly over.

It’s exclusively yours and yours to make your own. Say your vows to one another out in the woods, under the barn’s eaves, between the old cow pens or in front of the fire in the library. Next to Cockermouth and Keswick with Penrith and Carlisle stations near too, providing handy links around the UK.

The Vibe

Wildly romantic and blissfully secluded.

Whether a grand celebration in the barn or an intimate affair in the farmhouse, you’ll find something quite unique at Low Hall The Lakes. A truly beautiful place in the Lake District with an ambience and feel that will charm the pants off your guests and set your heart dancing.

In the barn, christened the Lovable Old Barn, a blank but very characterful canvas is yours to make as colourful and vibrant or as effortlessly cool and relaxed as yourselves. Set over two floors, have your wedding breakfast under the solid oak beams, between the stunning stone walls where natural light floods in to create a dreamy air of romance. Saunter downstairs where intimate seating within old cow milking pens make for the perfect reception area or head outside and have your guests get giddy over that view. Discover all kinds of spaces that you’ll want to create a feature out of, it might be in the woods, under the weeping willow seat overlooking the pond, by the giant old trees or on the lane where you can switch your guests for cows. A hand crafted, stunning solid oak bar will serve whatever tipples you fancy.

Inside the 17th century farmhouse, beautiful ensuite bedrooms, a library and cosy snug are laced with history and original quirks, alongside handpicked antiques, unique furniture and art and not one, but two luxury suites. When you choose Low Hall the Lakes, you have exclusive use for two days or more, so your big day could even be extended to the next. And, the team knows some awesome suppliers to put you in touch with.

It’s rustic and charming and has a whirlwind of enchanting history wrapped up in the Lake District’s colourful nature. Not forgetting of course, a space that’s ready for one heck of a party.

There is disabled access throughout the downstairs of the barn, where there is an additional bar and disabled toilet. There is access into the woods and outside into the garden, however it is uneven ground.
