Spring Brights with World Inspired Tents

Written by Emma Hla
The natural canvas colour of the tipis and the green countryside hues provided the perfect backdrop for this spring inspired styled shoot, a fabulous showcase of the striking and contemporary tents by one of our fave suppliers, World Inspired Tents.

With a whole host of incredible South West suppliers, this is a must-read for anyone looking for tipi inspiration!

Notes from World Inspired Tents

The overall theme for the shoot was Spring Brights.

Inspiration was taken from bright watercolour floral paintings by a fantastic team of stylists Knots & Kisses, Candlegreen and Meadowsweet Vintage. The team worked tirelessly to create some amazing spaces within the tipis alongside statement installations. The large giant hat tipis provided lots of space for dining and a dance floor, complemented by a smaller tipi as a chill out area, perfect for an evening reception with open fires for toasting marshmallows, lots of cushions and atmospheric lanterns.

The colour palette was a mix of strong brights and pastels with pops of pinks, purples, cobalt blues and yellows. Stationery accented the colour scheme with a watercolour feel and floral details.

A real wedding feel was created with a radiant bride, groom, a bridesmaid and some delightful dancing flower girls. The bride & bridesmaid wore stunning vintage dresses and accessories provided by the Days of Grace team. Beautiful hair by Devon Wedding Hair and a strong make up look by Laura Le Page matched in with the bright colour scheme, pops of colour were also added with vintage accessories. Jonathan Hawkes provided the grooms outfit, a tweed suit which kept things bright and colourful as it was matched with a bright floral liberty print tie.

Florist Brompton Buds created some really gorgeous pieces, including cascading flowers tumbling from a table, large floral urns, a table ‘meadow’ and a brilliant floral arch which was finished with a watercolour fabric table plan from Knots & Kisses. Flowers were very important in creating the strong spring floral feel.

We decided to provide as much inspiration as possible for couples with this shoot and the stylists took the opportunity to create lots of different installations and tablescapes within the bright watercolour floral theme. Knots & Kisses designed a table plan installation with a gorgeous moongate of flowers from Brompton Buds. There was a styled arbour and seating area from Candlegreen and several different tablescapes, including copper table plan flags, beautiful coloured bottles, vintage china, cascading florals and even a central meadow on one table!

Obviously any of the stylists who created this shoot are available to hire to create the looks for couples who don’t have the time or the skills, but if couples are looking for inspiration for their own day then the key to this look is going big and bold on flowers but mixing with softer elements such as watercolour stationery and beautiful fabrics for dresses and outfits.
