Back in October, photographer Venetia Norrington set out to capture this magic amongst the rustling trees and smoky air of the most colourfully cosy of seasons. Roaring fires, cinnamon scents and cosy blankets were the order of the day and a dream team of contributors arrived at Coombe Trenchard complete with scarves, Pinterest boards and a lot of laughter. The weather surprised everyone and the sun made its presence known, even allowing for a group lunch out on the south-facing terrace whilst soaking up some very warm rays! A gasp-inducing array of bridal wear was kindly loaned by Lovely Bridal in Honiton and comprised of classic lace, modern separates and the softest wrap that would be the perfect addition to a snug elopement. Groomswear comprised of relaxed earthy tones inspired by a modern country gent. Giselle Michel-Gendre was on hand to add some laid-back glamour to our bridal couple’s looks and used Autumnal tones to compliment the beauty of Coombe Trenchard at this magical time of year.

Thirst Choice with Garnish thoroughly enjoyed the brief of sensational seasonal treats and put their trademark creativity and exciting use of flavour into every morsel of delicious food and drink provided. The scent of mulled cider and freshly cooked canapes was a welcome addition to the festive atmosphere and crackling fires, especially once they had been photographed and were ready to be sampled!

Harriet from the de Winton Paper Co created some tender love letters to go alongside Coombe Trenchard’s styling. Blessed with both an impressive selection of Object d’arts and stylish wedding props, you are in safe hands with this elegant venue, whatever your preferred level of styling.

Capturing the venue’s mix of dramatic spaces and cosy hideaways was no small feat, and as the last shot was taken a sorbet-singed sunset greeted the giddy team, excitedly looking back at previews from Venetia’s camera. Venetia Norrington brought her boundless energy and extraordinary talent to the shoot and the images show both inspiring detail alongside Autumnal ambience and carefree adoration.
