Spring Kentish Garden Wedding Inspiration

Written by Caitlin Hoare
Seasonal spring flowers, bright pastels, a delightful dessert table, and a sequin bridal jumpsuit, if this is what weddings at Chapel House Estate are made of, then you can count me in!

I’ve been keeping my beady eye on this stylish, foodie venue since they joined the directory, so it is a JOY to bring this gorgeous editorial to you today. With an award-winning restaurant on-site (foodie venue – told you!), sprawling organic grounds to roam in, and a pretty greenhouse as your backdrop, how could you not fall head over heels? Did I mention they’re located just a stone’s throw away from the coast?

If I haven’t managed to convince you that Chapel House Estate is one to add to your venue shortlist, then the following images should do the job. Swoon away!

Notes from the Stylist

Roxanne says…

Chapel House Estate is a luxury wedding venue nestled in the Kent countryside. The greenhouse in the walled courtyard inspired the cake and dessert table, and the wild apple orchard was the perfect setting for the spring ceremony. Chapel House Estate has stunning gardens and many other gorgeous backdrops for couple portraits.

We wanted to use all of Chapel House Estate’s outdoor areas to celebrate the change in seasons, which brings brighter weather to the English countryside. Therefore, as we were celebrating the start of spring, styling elements included fresh flowers, mixed pastels and scallop details.

The bride wore a soft blue bridal dress, “Rosa” by Marylise, with an open back and bow detail from The Bridal Boutique of Jules. Paired with a dewy glam and soft wave by Astons Makeup & Beauty, dainty gold jewellery from Fitzgerald Jewellers and an embroidered hair bow by Chateau Mathilde. The evening bridal look was an embellished jumpsuit by British designer Bowen Dryden, styled with a sleek updo and a beaded personalised bag.

The ceremony area in the wild apple orchard was adorned with Mia Sylvia‘s natural draping fabrics and colourful vintage armchairs from The Little Wedding Warehouse, joined by gorgeous spring sunshine. Not forgetting the florals, Moody Blooms crafted statement flower meadows for the styled shoot, setting a vibrant tone throughout. For the cake table, white allium, spirea, lilac scabious, and hellebore adorned small bowls, anchored in place by Kenzan flower holders. Meanwhile, the dining table boasted small Kenzan bowls and bud vases filled with white ranunculus, narcissus sol d’or, genistra, paperwhites, yellow butterfly ranunculus, and pink lisianthus. The floor meadows featured a delightful array of spring blooms, including tanacetum matricaria, pale blue delphinium, craspedia, lilac stocks, white scabious, pink lisianthus, yellow butterfly ranunculus, thaspi, and blush ranunculus Clooney Hanoi, completing the enchanting and seasonal floral display.

My advice to wedding planning couples would be to be bold with colour. You don’t have to stick to a singular colour theme; mixing pastels creates a softer and beautifully impactful feel. It could extend into bridesmaids’ outfits – the same dress in different pastel shades or something more subtle, like different ribbons on their bouquets.
