This beautiful editorial at Histon Manor showcases the charm of an outdoor wedding followed by a stylish garden party. Filled with soft seasonal colour, abundant florals and thoughtful details, it’s full of inspiration for couples dreaming of a timeless celebration in the countryside.

Histon Manor was the perfect setting for our styled shoot. The venue offers beautifully restored interiors, impressive architectural details, and versatile spaces that photograph beautifully from every angle. We were particularly drawn to the abundance of natural light, the sophisticated décor, and the seamless flow between the indoor and outdoor settings.
For this shoot, we wanted to create an editorial look that felt romantic, refined, and timeless, and Histon Manor provided all of that and more. The venue’s neutral palette allowed the styling elements to shine while still adding depth and character to every image. From intimate portrait opportunities to grand statement shots, every corner of the manor offered inspiration.

The overall theme of the editorial was an intimate outdoor wedding celebration, followed by a relaxed and elegant garden party. We wanted to showcase how couples can create a meaningful and stylish wedding experience that feels personal, romantic, and connected to the natural surroundings.
The design centred around a soft spring colour palette, delicate shades of blush pink, butter yellow, lavender, peach, and soft blue were woven throughout the styling. Abundant floral arrangements brought a fresh, romantic feel to the day. The outdoor setting at Histon Manor provided the perfect backdrop, allowing us to highlight a beautiful ceremony on the grounds before transitioning into a charming garden party celebration.
The gown, designed by Lisa Lyons Bridal, featured timeless detailing and a soft, modern silhouette. Hair and makeup by Ellie Norman Bridal enhanced the look with a fresh, radiant finish. The finishing touches came from the beautiful pieces by Nicholls Jewellery.

Styling by Miss Carlysle & Co focused on creating a cohesive and inviting setting, balancing refined elegance with a relaxed outdoor feel. The tablescape featured layered textures, soft seasonal colours, and carefully curated details that reflected the fresh and joyful spirit of spring. Fresh lemons throughout the tablescape added a vibrant pop of colour and a subtle Mediterranean-inspired touch.
Furniture, tableware, and decorative hire from Stories Event Hire provided the foundation for the design. The finishing touch came from the bespoke stationery by Eliza May Prints, which tied the colour palette and overall aesthetic together seamlessly.
A beautifully crafted cake by One Part Love Bakery featured hand-painted florals that echoed the soft spring palette and floral motifs used throughout the shoot.

Our florist was Sian from Velvet & Meadow, who brought the vision to life with a vibrant spring-inspired floral design. We wanted the flowers to feel fresh, joyful, and full of colour, so we embraced a bright seasonal palette that complemented the soft pastel styling throughout the shoot.
The arrangements were designed to create a romantic yet playful feel, incorporating a variety of spring blooms in beautiful shades that added texture, movement, and plenty of visual interest.
Whether planning an intimate celebration or a larger gathering, couples can take inspiration from the soft pastel colour palette, seasonal florals, and relaxed garden party atmosphere to create a day that feels fresh, welcoming, and effortlessly elegant.
The styling also shows that thoughtful details can have a big impact. Incorporating seasonal elements, such as fresh lemons within tablescapes, colourful spring flowers, and bespoke stationery, can add personality and create a cohesive look without feeling overly formal.
An an outdoor ceremony and garden party reception can offer a relaxed yet luxurious experience for guests.
