Set against the venue’s grand architecture and tranquil gardens, the creative team reimagined a “secret garden” celebration — a day filled with light, texture, and florals that feel both modern and deeply romantic. With soft tones of peach, cream and green, couture satin gowns, and organic florals spilling from Froyle Park’s iconic dome, every element captures the essence of refined countryside luxury.

With its rich history, stone facade and gardens, Froyle Park made the perfect backdrop. Whilst the interiors are spacious, with grand windows creating a light and airy atmosphere in every room, it was truly the grounds that made us fall in love. The dome overlooking the Surrey hills was the perfect setting to curate a statement floral masterpiece with an abundance of flowers. We wanted the shoot to feel like the wedding was private and intimate, with a secret garden being the perfect setting.

Our vision began with the idea of a couple who longed for a wedding that would reflect their love story through personal touches- such as the botanical details, a timeless elegance, and an airy, romantic ambience. We wanted to create moments that feel intimate and enduring, where every image evokes a story of quiet beauty and lasting charm. We embraced warm, glowing tones, reminiscent of golden afternoons in English gardens filled with beautifully scented florals.

The floral colour palette consisted of whites and creams, alongside soft yellows, delicate peaches, and lush green foliage. The day at Froyle Park took place in October; instead of an ordinary autumnal colour palette, we wanted to use a fresh colour palette that still felt romantic.
We wanted the dresses, hair and make-up to be clean and fresh whilst still feeling feminine and romantic. Unbridled’s double satin dresses created modern silhouettes, with feminine puff sleeves and trailing bows added to the organza separates. eden b. Studio’s jewellery and veils perfectly complemented the modern, botanical feel. We wanted the bride’s hair and make-up to look clean, natural and fresh. Jo kept the make-up neutral with a flush peach to complement the florals and styled two different hairstyles that matched the dresses throughout the day.

Desiderata believes the magic of a tablescape lies in the subtle details, from the choice of linen, tableware, and stationery. By carefully curating a blend of patterns and textures, from the embroidered napkins to the rich tones of the tortoiseshell cutlery, each element is considered. Freya was able to create an aesthetic reflective of the uniquely intimate love story at the centre of this shoot.
Amy created fresh, organic florals by using citrus and peach tones throughout the shoot in her romantic, feminine signature style. British blooms were woven through to add an elevated, bespoke feel.

Amy Carlile Flowers was the floral designer. We chose to lean into the architecture of Froyle Park and accentuate the garden dome, windows overlooking the gardens and the fountain at the front of the house. We chose to keep the dome florals natural and organic to make the florals feel like you were in a secret English country garden. Similarly with the table florals, we used a mix of different arrangements to fill the table without feeling too traditional. British florals were used to give a soft, organic feel to the table, bringing the outside in.

Froyle Park is an exclusive-use venue. Every wedding we host provides full access to the venue, making it their home for the day. This means they can style and present it as they choose, building a day that reflects them as a couple. Styled shoots like this are a treasure trove for couples to cherry-pick ideas from. Whether it’s the deliciously romantic outdoor drinks station or the rich and timeless fresh florals cascading from the dome, our brides and grooms can choose elements and adapt them further to suit their style. We love to see a wedding cake in the Dome for the ultimate countryside backdrop. The way Amy adorned the front fountain here was sublime; it’s the first part of the day guests see as they arrive, yet it is often forgotten. Seeing it dressed so beautifully was such a treat!
