After the stillness of winter, blossoms begin to bloom, gardens awaken, and the days grow longer, bringing with them a renewed sense of optimism and possibility. It’s a season that naturally lends itself to celebrations, with nature’s beauty creating a timeless backdrop for the start of a new chapter.
Designed to capture the quiet beauty of early spring, this editorial celebrates one of the most magical yet often overlooked seasons for a wedding. As gardens begin to awaken and blossom returns, there’s a wonderful sense of optimism in the air.
Tredudwell Manor provided the ideal setting, with its beautiful gardens, orchard and elegant interiors. While the cherry blossom had already faded, the remaining apple blossom and fresh seasonal blooms perfectly reflected the fleeting beauty of spring. Inside, the manor’s light-filled drawing room offered a warm contrast to the crisp air outdoors, with golden sunlight streaming through the sash windows, candlelight adding a cosy glow, and timeless interiors creating an atmosphere of understated romance.
The styling embraced a soft palette of warm whites, blush pinks, gentle lilacs and golden tones, inspired by the changing season. Delicate florals paired beautifully with a naked cake finished in lilac frosting, while antique brass candlesticks, crystal coupes and carefully chosen vintage pieces added a sense of timeless elegance without overwhelming the natural beauty of the setting.
The bridal fashion reflected the same effortless spirit. Flora Fletcher’s contemporary designs balance romance with individuality, encouraging brides to feel relaxed, joyful and completely themselves. The silk dupion fringe gown, designed with movement in mind, brought a playful energy to the shoot while maintaining an elegant silhouette.
Jewellery by Alison Fletcher echoed the inspiration found in nature. Handmade using freshwater pearls, seed beads and recycled precious metals, each piece celebrates the organic beauty and individuality of natural materials. The intricate pearl headdress and necklace added a subtle heirloom quality that felt perfectly at home within the editorial.
Hair and makeup remained intentionally soft and natural, allowing the model’s loose golden curls to move freely and reflect the lightness and vitality that define the arrival of spring.
Seasonal florals by Blowth completed the vision, combining wisteria, lilac, hyacinths and bleeding hearts (Lamprocapnos) to create arrangements that felt fresh, abundant and unmistakably of the moment. Their soft colours and delicate textures reinforced the editorial’s message that nature often provides the most beautiful styling.
