Set amongst the rolling Cotswold hills, this elegant editorial at Foxhill Manor is a beautiful reminder that smaller weddings can feel just as impactful as larger celebrations.

Brought to life by Vivienne May Weddings and The Haus of CMA, the shoot pairs timeless fashion, romantic florals and thoughtful styling to showcase a more intimate approach to luxury wedding design. If you’re dreaming of an intimate but refined countryside wedding, you’ll find plenty of inspiration here.

Nestled amongst rolling hills, the exclusive-use manor perfectly suited the vision behind the shoot; a celebration of timeless romance, thoughtful styling and elevated detail.

The Venue

Foxhill Manor provided the perfect backdrop for this elegant countryside editorial shoot, with its intimate setting, refined interiors and breathtaking Cotswold views creating an atmosphere of understated luxury. Nestled amongst rolling hills, the exclusive-use manor perfectly suited the vision behind the shoot; a celebration of timeless romance, thoughtful styling and elevated detail.

Every corner of the manor reflects meticulous attention to design, from the beautifully curated interiors to the blend of classic country-house charm and contemporary sophistication, making it an ideal setting for couples seeking an intimate yet luxurious wedding experience.

The Vision

The overall concept for the editorial centred around elegance and intentional detail. We, Kerrie May of Vivienne May Weddings and Nikki from The Haus of CMA, wanted to showcase how a smaller wedding celebration can still feel incredibly grand, immersive and luxurious through carefully considered styling.

Soft florals, layered textures and refined fashion choices combined to create a timeless aesthetic that felt romantic yet effortlessly modern. The shoot embraced a sense of softness throughout, allowing each element to complement the venue’s natural beauty rather than overpower it.

Inspired by the freshness of spring, the colour palette featured delicate blush pinks, crisp whites and soft greens. These tones worked harmoniously throughout the floral design, tablescape, and fashion styling, creating a cohesive, organic feel. The palette perfectly reflected the surrounding countryside and added a softness that enhanced the editorial’s romantic atmosphere.

The Fashion

Fashion played a key role in bringing the vision to life, with two distinct bridal looks from Ellie Sanderson Bridal chosen to embody timeless sophistication. The first gown, the Petal Monroe by Caroline Castigliano, featured elegant lace detailing and a high neckline for a classic yet contemporary bridal look. Styled with a sleek, high-updo by Johanna from CMA Hair & Makeup, the overall aesthetic felt polished, refined, and effortlessly chic.

The second bridal look introduced a softer, more ethereal feel with the Moira Hughes Couture Bindi gown. Worn with loose, soft curls and a pop of red lipstick, the look created a romantic contrast while still maintaining the editorial’s elevated aesthetic.

Both gowns were beautifully complemented by delicate veils from Sophie Raval and jewellery from Botias Accessories, adding subtle finishing touches without detracting from the dresses’ elegance. Emmy London footwear completed each bridal ensemble perfectly with its timeless, feminine designs.

The groom’s look was equally refined, with a tailored black tuxedo by Clements + Church bringing a classic sense of sophistication to the editorial. The clean tailoring and timeless silhouette complemented the romantic styling while adding a touch of traditional elegance.

The Styling & Flowers

The styling and décor focused heavily on layered details and luxurious textures. The tablescape, curated with pieces from The Luxe Collection, featured detailed floral linens paired with sage-green napkins, gold cutlery, and delicate crystal glassware. Candles and glass table lamps added warmth and intimacy to the setting, enhancing the romantic atmosphere as daylight softened across the manor’s ballroom.

Thoughtful finishing touches, including mini macaron boxes tied with soft, green velvet ribbon, elevated the guest experience and reinforced the editorial’s emphasis on refined detail. The all-white wedding cake, created by Claire from Cake Daydreams, continued the timeless aesthetic, decorated with delicate handcrafted sugar-paste flowers that echoed the softness of the floral design throughout the shoot. Elegant yet understated, it complemented the overall styling direction perfectly.

Florals, designed by Rebecca Marsala, were intentionally abundant and organic in style to reflect the beauty of the surrounding countryside. Pale pink and white roses were paired with white delphiniums, lisianthus and plentiful foliage to create arrangements that felt soft, romantic and naturally luxurious. The florals added movement and texture across the shoot, enhancing both the ceremony and reception styling without feeling overly structured.

for couples

The editorial was designed to inspire couples planning intimate weddings by demonstrating that smaller celebrations can feel every bit as luxurious and impactful as larger-scale events. Through thoughtful styling, cohesive design and a strong focus on detail, the shoot showcased how couples can create a deeply personal yet elevated wedding experience.

From carefully curated tablescapes to timeless fashion and abundant florals, every element worked together to prove that intimacy and luxury can coexist beautifully. Attention to detail was at the heart of the shoot, encouraging couples to focus on creating meaningful moments and consider styling choices that reflect their personalities and overall vision.
