Rebekah and Nick’s wedding at Howsham Hall had timeless written all over it – from the elegant interiors of this Grade I-listed country house to Rebekah’s beautiful Suzanne Neville gown and Nick’s ivory tuxedo jacket. Later in the evening, the bride swapped into a mini dress and Dior kitten heels (excellent decision) before a surprise sax player helped launch the dance floor into full party mode.

Add a brilliant team behind the scenes and a couple who clearly knew exactly what they wanted, and you’ve got a wedding that feels both classic and hugely fun. Over to today’s beautiful bride to share the story of a day she describes, quite simply, as perfect.

Howsham Hall was everything we wanted for our venue. Timeless and classic – every detail in every room was just perfect, and the interiors were a standout for us. Many other venues we looked at were missing something or just didn’t feel like ‘The One’. We found it searching online for wedding venues in Yorkshire, and this was the area we knew we wanted to get married in.
We first met with Becky, who talked us through everything to do with the venue and how our day would be planned out. There was no pressure from her at all, and it felt super relaxed from the start. Kim was just INCREDIBLE! We couldn’t have wished for anyone better. So thorough, organised and calm. The day went so smoothly, and the whole process of working with her was a breeze.
We really couldn’t recommend Howsham enough – if you’re looking for a timeless, beautiful, classic venue, then this is the one!

Our theme was black tie, so we knew we wanted elegance from the get-go.
As the bride, I always knew I wanted a simple, classic wedding dress. I tried on SO many and was starting to give up hope until I tried on my dream one from Suzanne Neville. I also knew I wanted to switch into a shorter dress for the evening so I could dance the night away! My makeup artist, Elizabeth Amy and my hairstylist, Hair by Olivia James, were utter perfection. They made me, my mum and my bridesmaids look and feel amazing. I couldn’t have asked for anything better from them.
For Nick, as the groomsmen were in black tuxes, he wanted to stand out, so he tried on the ivory tux jacket, and we 100% knew that was the look for him – he looked so good!

We just wanted something romantic, stylish and classic. I have had Pinterest boards saved for years with this vibe, and it was so special to see our black-tie vision come to life!
Kim from Ambience Venue Styling in Malton was another incredible vendor that we would highly recommend. She styled our wedding and was also our florist. She really did bring our classic romantic countryside wedding to life. Again, she was a dream to work with and went above and beyond for us. She was the best!
Our catering was done in-house by Dine. We chose:

Jasmin Paige was our photographer, and we would recommend her 1000x over – she was just perfect. She captured every moment, feeling, and emotion not only from us but from all our guests. We honestly couldn’t be any happier with how gorgeous our wedding photos look. It’s so special to have such gorgeous memories captured so beautifully.

It’s hard to pick one moment – the whole day was just perfect! The feeling of having officially made our vows to each other in front of everyone we love will never be forgotten. We’ve never felt happiness like it! If we could bottle that feeling up forever, that would be incredible! We couldn’t be more grateful for everyone at Howsham Hall and all our incredible vendors for being a part of such a special day.
We had an espresso martini cocktail hour before the evening entertainment began, and although we had a DJ booked, as a surprise for my husband, I also booked a live sax player to play alongside the DJ. We had three huge dance anthems to really get the party started, which was a huge success and something that all our guests said was amazing!

Just enjoy every single moment of it, it really does go by so fast!! There aren’t many opportunities in life to have all your favourite people in the same room at the same time, and so just enjoy every second of it – it really will be the best day of your life!
We are eternally grateful to everyone at Howsham for planning and creating the most incredible day. A special shout-out goes out to Kim, who was nothing short of perfect; she went above and beyond for us, and her attention to detail and calm were exactly what we were looking for. Also, shout-out to Tim and his amazing team for making all our guests and us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much for them to help with – everything was just perfect!
