Oriana & Elliot’s Low Hall The Lakes Wedding

Written by Caitlin Hoare
We LOVE an autumn wedding, and they don’t get much better than Oriana and Elliot’s seasonal celebration at the utterly charming Low Hall The Lakes.

It’s easy to see why they chose this setting for their October wedding: the breathtakingly beautiful Lake District location, the blimmin’ lovely venue team (in fact, owners Francesca and Ben have recently welcomed a second little boy – congrats!), it’s dog-friendly, and their barns provide the perfect ambience for a warm and decadent theme.

If you’re here for autumn wedding inspo, you’re absolutely in the right place; just don’t forget to pin and save!

Notes from the Bride

Oriana says…

We chose Low Hall The Lakes because it was just a beautiful venue, and it was everything we wanted – perfect setting, all in one place, freedom to be creative with suppliers and dog friendly. Francesca, Ben and Kate were just fantastic, we really felt everything was organised and one less thing to worry about for us. The day ran smoothly, and all our guests commented on how everything flowed.

My dress was from Richard Designs from Bethany Hannah Bridal – I wanted a long-sleeved dress for the time of year. Elliot had his suit designed and made by Michelsberg Tailoring, and our bridesmaids wore dresses in shades of green. Our hair and makeup were done by the lovely Hair & Makeup by Saskia. For accessories, my shoes were from Charlotte Mills, my jewellery was from Monica Vinader, and Elliot’s shoes were from Loake.

Styling was by Stories of Events. We wanted autumnal style but were happy to let them be creative with what they thought was best – it turned out amazing! Our florist was The Floralistas, who worked with Stories of Events to make the venue look incredible.

Our cake was made by Sally Cooper, a cake artist, and decorated with flowers (again, working with the florist); it was beautiful and so delicious. Lola Jeans did our catering for us, doing canapés and mains and sharing boards for starters and puds for an informal feel. In the evening, they cooked up some delicious burgers.

Bridgette Ibbotson Photography was our photographer and perfect for us – we wanted to be laid-back and relaxed and couldn’t have asked for more!

Best part of the day

I don’t think we have the best part of the day – we loved it from start to finish. We had the most perfect, relaxed day! We spent a lot of time researching suppliers and finding what was suitable for us and what we wanted, and I am so glad we invested the time in making sure it felt like us.

From one couple to another…

Do what you want to do as a couple! Also, to take some time for yourselves in the day, Bridgette did this for us, and it was lovely to have some time away together as a married couple for the first time.
