Notes from the Planner

Emily says…

Ormesby Manor is a brand new exclusive-use venue in Norfolk, with opulent bedrooms and incredible interiors. I really wanted to showcase the beauty and character of the venue. With a team of luxury suppliers onboard, and with such a stunning venue, this shoot was always going to produce some beautiful wedding inspiration. The overall style was elegant and sophisticated. It was important to have nods to the local Norfolk area as well as incorporating luxurious details.

As the venue is a country estate, I also wanted to have a relaxed and romantic air to the shoot, having overly formal and loud styling would not have worked at this backdrop. The venue is mainly used for weekend long wedding celebrations where couples can really mould their event into the beautiful surroundings, exactly how this shoot was also created.

The colour palette was very classic, including shades of whites and greens. It was important that the colours didn’t fight with the interiors of Ormesby Manor but instead worked cohesively with them.

Our beautiful bride Olivia had two looks for our shoot. The first was elegant and chic with a floor length, sequin gown that was the epitome of glamour. We completed this glamorous look with a Hollywood wave and flawless make up. Our second look for Olivia was slightly more playful with a sleek, high ponytail finished with an ivory chiffon scarf. The bridal dress featured a tulle skirt and full-length sleeves which are on-trend right now. The tulle had a delicate polka dot running through it. We were delighted to be able to finish Olivia’s outfit with some stunning Emmy London bridal shoes in ivory, the Harriet and Florence styles.

The luxury décor and styling worked with the stunning design of Ormesby Manor, highlighting the unique features and glorious tones of this magnificent Grade II listed building. We really let the venue shine through. The table was designed to be decadent, yet still with a relaxed, country feel. Features such as the exquisite handcrafted Norfolk oyster shells designed by Oysters and Ink against the backdrop of gloriously put together floral designs of white & green created that classically elegant, luxury aesthetic. Each element of the styling was carefully chosen to create a complementary look alongside the ultimate elegant look of the bride and groom. The table was beautifully curated with intricate stationery by Silk and Ink Designs alongside the stunning gold rimmed tableware which gave refined elegant style to the finishing touches.

Charlotte Staff was our florist for the shoot, she interpreted the brief perfectly. The flowers were kept white and green to again blend with the other details and the venue. The lush greens and blousy white blooms added to the refined, luxurious style and didn’t fight with any of Ormesby’s decor.

This styled shoot showcases how couples can create an elegant and classical look. It gives couples a feel for how their wedding could look if they choose to use Ormesby Manor as their wedding venue. It also highlights the different styles and unique features that Ormesby Manor offers, as well as the creative designs of the suppliers who contributed to the styled shoot. Bespoke touches, such as the beautifully designed oyster shells, which are locally sourced, add a nod to the locality of the venue, as well as being a beautiful design feature.
