Kinjan & Gareth’s Romantic Floral Extravaganza at Clevedon Hall

Written by Caitlin Hoare
Clevedon Hall provided an enchanting backdrop for Kinjan and Gareth’s July wedding, setting the stage for an unforgettable, high-touch celebration that exceeded all expectations.

The day itself was a lesson in fine art wedding perfection: a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony, romantic portraits in the gardens and luxurious blooms everywhere you turned. But it was the wedding breakfast and evening reception where things really ramped up. Their bespoke 5-course Michelin-inspired wedding breakfast, skillfully crafted by Clevedon Hall’s chefs, was a culinary masterpiece, and the night continued in style with wood-fired pizzas, signature cocktails, a confetti drop on the dance floor and fireworks set to an amazing playlist.

Their wedding day was brimming with delightful details and luxurious, fun experiences. If you’re considering something similar for your big day, I urge you to start scrolling and pinning!

Notes from the Bride

Kinjan says…

Clevedon Hall was our wedding venue of choice for many reasons; it was a beautiful, exclusive-use venue for all our wedding celebrations, including an overnight stay for our guests. We had a vision of what we wanted for our special day, and Clevedon Hall accommodated everything we had wished for, from our bespoke 5-course wedding breakfast to fireworks with music in the evening, to our champagne tower reception and the confetti drop during our first dance. Everyone at Clevedon Hall went above and beyond from the planning stages to the final touches; it was the most fantastic day of our lives!

We opted for a black tie wedding as this reflected the luxury vision we wanted to create for our guests. I chose my dress from Allegresse due to the intricate detail and beautiful cut; I also had a second dress for the evening from Pronovias, which was revealed when we entered the Grand Hall via the staircase for our first dance. My shoes were from Jimmy Choo and sparkled throughout the day. My husband had his suit specially designed and tailored by Nathan Palmer Bespoke Tailoring, and he coupled this with the Athens Oxford shoe from Church’s. We wanted our guests to feel a million dollars. While saying our vows and looking back at everyone during our outdoor ceremony under the sunshine, we could see how happy and special everyone felt!

We wanted a classic theme for our summer wedding, focusing on shades of green, white and silver for our colour scheme, which perfectly complemented the black tie styling. We reflected this theme in all of our details throughout the day, from the silver monogram on the wedding cake and favours, which mirrored our invitations and menus, to the silver beaded charger plates for the Wedding Breakfast with a stem of eucalyptus to decorate. We also had florals in every room, seamlessly connecting the different parts of our day.

We chose Daisy Lane Floral Design as our florist due to her expertise in creating exquisite blooms, which brought our vision to life. Having lots of flowers throughout each part of our day was so important to us. Due to our outdoor ceremony, we had a beautiful flower arch arranged along the pagoda with large flower pillars framing the ceremony area. Both sides of the aisle were surrounded by flower runners, which felt like I was walking through a meadow as I made my entrance to be married. The wedding breakfast tables had spectacular floral rounds positioned on large glass cylinders, which was ideal for a summer wedding to bring the outside in. We opted for various beautiful blooms, including avalanche roses, astilbe, veronica, jasmine, sweet peas, olive, eucalyptus and Jeanne Moreau roses.

Our four-tier cake was designed by Bake My Cake and consisted of a different design per tier to reflect our wedding theme of white, green and silver. We opted for handmade sugar flowers, similar to our natural florals, which were positioned along the cake as a finishing touch. Bake My Cake also created our biscuit favours, including our wedding monogram. Food was extremely important to us, and we wanted to create a Michelin-starred-inspired menu for our guests to enjoy, which Clevedon Hall’s fantastic chefs created based on a 5-course menu we had designed. Nothing was too much, and some guests even told us it was the best wedding food and wine they had ever had! We wanted to party in style for the evening and opted for freshly made wood-fired pizzas. Clevedon Hall served our favourite cocktails into the night (the espresso martinis were delicious). These were perfect to keep our guests dancing all night!

Our photographer was the extremely talented Christina Sarah Photography. We fell in love with her fine art photography style, and she put us at ease from the day we met. Her vision complemented ours perfectly, and she captured all of the unique details of the day in terms of our décor, food and guest interaction, to the grand moments such as our vows, champagne tower pour and confetti drop, which we will never forget. Christina made our wedding extra special just by being part of it, and we re-live the day every time we look back at our photos!

Best part of the day

The best part of the day was having our friends and family celebrate the best day of our lives with us! It was surreal to have everyone we love and care for in one place, and we are so grateful to have had the wedding we had always wished for. If we could only ever experience one part of the wedding again, it would be our fireworks display, which Firestorm Pyro FX Ltd paired with music; it was the most incredible moment dancing outside with our guests under the stars to a firework backdrop. It was a feeling we will never forget!

From one couple to another…

My words of wisdom for any future couples getting married would be to take each moment of the day in; it goes by so quickly, and it will indeed be the most fantastic day of your lives, celebrating with everyone who loves you! So much planning goes into creating the perfect day for everyone, but know that on the day, it will be exactly as it is meant to be for the two of you, and that will ultimately be perfect.
