Jade & Victor’s Simple, Stylish Wedding at Cain Manor

Written by Caitlin Hoare
Wishing J+V a very happy first anniversary!

They sealed the deal in August last year with a simple but oh-so-stylish celebration at Cain Manor in Hampshire. Exchanging vows in the impressive triple-height ceilinged Music Room before taking the festivities outside to make the most of Cain Manor’s incredible gardens and grounds.

I’m a sucker for a golden hour sunset couple shot, and this one is *chef’s kiss*.

Notes from the Bride

Jade says…

We knew we wanted an elegant venue, one big enough to fit my husband’s family!

We loved that Cain Manor was tucked away and private and that we could have the house and grounds to ourselves. The grounds were beautiful, and they sold the venue to us, considering that we were planning an August wedding and hoped to be outside for the drinks reception. We loved the idea of having all the support from the team and the online planner.

I knew I had found my dress when I found it on my Pinterest board, and the bridal boutique we were visiting had just arrived in store! It was meant to be. As someone who is autistic, it was important for the dress to be sensory-friendly.

Victor brought his grey three-piece suit from Slater Menswear and chose charcoal grey for his four ushers. To add a pop of colour, the suits were paired with plum purple ties, which matched the bridesmaids’ dresses. My little cousin was cute ring security!

We wanted to keep everything simple – our theme was lavender, a favourite of my Grandad’s. We had cupcakes to be more Covid-friendly instead of a single cake so that we could cater to everyone’s dietary needs.

Bloom was our florist, and we chose shades of purple throughout the bridal bouquets, which beautifully complemented the bridesmaids’ dresses. Lavender was also used in the hessian-wrapped glass jars, displayed as centrepieces during the wedding breakfast, creating a wonderful rustic countryside vibe.

We love food and wanted to make the wedding breakfast memorable. We chose delicious satay skewers to start, followed by a massaman lamb curry and sweet chocolate melting middle pots to finish. One of the most enjoyable aspects of planning was the menu tasting at Cain Manor and the cake tasting, understandably!

Best part of the day

The whole experience was beautiful, and it was just such a happy day! We are so glad we chose Cain Manor; the team made it better than we could have imagined!

The most memorable moment was walking out as husband and wife.

From one couple to another…

Our top tip is to do what is right for you. It’s your day, and you want it to be enjoyable, not stressful. And if that means not inviting a family member or choosing something such as a specific dress or a menu, then do it!
