Courtney & Liam’s Grassfield Hall Wedding

Grassfield Hall really was the perfect venue for this stylish couple. They are experts in small and intimate weddings, choosing to host only a handful every year meaning that Lisa, the owner and on the day coordinator, can get to know each couple and provide a very personal service. This is exactly what C&L experienced, and was one of the main reasons that they booked.

Be prepared to be swept off your feet folks, this is black tie wedding perfection…

Grassfield Hall offered us exactly what we were looking for; small and intimate but grand enough to host such a special occasion. We were particularly impressed by, and incredibly grateful for Lisa’s assistance at Grassfield. She was so accommodating and made sure everything ran smoothly, even without a set time schedule in place. It was such a relaxed and fun day, it was honestly just perfect.

My dress was Enzoani but my brilliant bridal shop, Scarlet Poppy Bridal Boutique, elevated it to my dream dress with a custom overskirt and a couple of other tweaks. My accessories included pretty drop pearl Chanel earrings & heels from Gucci. I wanted a natural but elegant look for my hair and makeup and the team did an amazing job! Thanks to Charlotte, Natalie & Nat from Cabello Salon in Leeds and Amy Rodgerson and Megan Bulmer who created the perfect bridal makeup.

Because we were having a predominantly white wedding theme I chose neutral tones of whites and the softest of pinks for my wedding flowers, created by the wonderful Ivy Florist. They incorporated some of my favourite flowers; gypsophila, orchids, roses, hydrangeas and peonies, which all went together absolutely beautifully.

Our wedding cake was designed and created by Where The Ribbon Ends in Harrogate. I absolutely loved our cake, it was simply stunning and in the perfect neutral tones to go with my theme. They smashed it!

Arabella Smith is amazing. She made me feel so comfortable on the day, you hardly knew she was there! She brought a second shooter with her which meant they were able to capture the morning preparations for both myself and Liam and his groomsmen. Her photography skills are some of the best I’ve seen, our whole album perfectly demonstrates how magical our day really was!

Best part of the day

Walking down the aisle and seeing Liam at the end waiting. I’m such an emotional person but I was just so happy all day. When they say it’s the happiest day of your life they’re not wrong!

From one couple to another…

Do not listen to anyone, it is your day! People will have opinions, upset you and try make you change your mind but don’t let them. I didn’t, and people came up to me after and said how well it all worked! It’s your day! Remember that.
