Black Tie Elegance for Two Grooms at Birtsmorton Court

Written by Caitlin Hoare
Today’s wedding feature is the perfect showcase of Birtsmorton Court’s brand new reception space, The Linney. Featuring two handsome grooms in black tie, elegant venue styling and a tour of some of the venue’s most romantic backdrops.

Not only is Birtsmorton Court in Worcestershire home to a moat, ceremony options galore, a church within the grounds, 350 acres of lakes, fields and woodland, plus beautifully maintained gardens around every corner, they’ve also recently welcomed The Linney to their collection of exclusive-use venue spaces. This light-filled, oak framed room is the perfect blank canvas for couples to personalise and host the day of their dreams. Think rustic elegance meets historic charm!

Over to the venue, their recommended suppliers and this handsome couple to show us everything Birtsmorton has to offer…

Notes from the Venue

Lucy says…

Birtsmorton Court is a family-owned, exclusive-use venue with a big heart. We are committed to being an inclusive venue, actively encouraging and embracing ALL kinds of love which was why when asked to host this same-sex shoot, we said nothing but ‘YES, YES, YES!’

The theme was black-tie, which included styling the venue with drapes and faux florals with matte black stationery and pillar candles. We added a luxury touch through the inclusion of beaded charger plates, black and white chair ties and silver table cutlery.

The grooms’ suits and shoes were purchased locally from Regency Groom, a company in Cheltenham who established themselves in 2002, specialising in menswear but in particular, menswear for grooms.

The wooden rustic tables offset the white chair ties and drapes making the wedding breakfast setting look crisp and polished – perfect for the monochrome/black tie vibe. As mentioned, we went with beaded charger plates, silver cutlery and matte black stationery to enhance the theme.

The green and white rose florals by Cotswold Wedding Co tied in perfectly with the flowers situated in our White Garden which look their best during the months of May and June. The black and white cake was also simplistic but elegant and finally, for an evening look, we installed our green foliage flower wall with neon sign to create a fabulous photo backdrop.

Our aim with this shoot was to highlight that anyone can get married with us, with whichever wedding theme they like and we will endeavour to make it happen.
