A Romantic Barcelona Fall Wedding Editorial

Written by Caitlin Hoare
I first spotted THAT winding tablescape on Instagram…

It stopped the scroll, immediately, and to be honest I probably even said ‘oh wow‘ out loud (it’s that good!). But when Rebecca Marie Weddings chooses to host a LARK Workshop at This Must Be The Place you just know it’s going to be magic. And it was.

Captured beautifully by Sierra Katrina Photography. This is definitely one for your Pinterest board…

Sierra Says…

This Must Be The Place is the perfect venue for any couple that loves good views, modern rustic charm, and a really good time! I love that this venue is a flexible blank canvas space with a variety of different indoor and outdoor areas available – perfect for couples to choose exactly what they want their wedding day to look and feel like.

The brief for this shoot was a rustic, fall-inspired editorial with a modern luxe twist. To achieve this the colour palette was designed with autumn in mind – burnt orange tones blended seamlessly with subtle neutrals to create a rich but fresh vibe at this dreamy destination wedding venue near Barcelona.

The shoot was purposely accessorised with minimal jewellery to showcase the minimalistic trend that we’re seeing everywhere and LOVE. Dresses provided by Ivy and White and hair and makeup by Makeup BCN were also chosen and styled to be minimal and elegant to complement the overall vibe. These pared back elements managed to elevate the beautifully rustic venue into a modern, luxurious event.

Rebecca Marie Weddings is a UK-based wedding planner and stylist who has iconic taste and always knows exactly what looks good whilst still being timeless and romantic. The winding tablescape within the main reception room at This Must Be The Place was inspired! The styling which included earthy tones, textured linens and natural materials worked perfectly with the exposed stone backdrop and wooden beams.

The florist was the incredible Violeta Gladstone Events and floral concept was created by Mary Poppies. The floral design mimicked an autumn day in Barcelona whilst staying true to a luxurious and timeless event. Crisp dried foliage was interwoven with clean white flowers for height, texture and balance.

This styled shoot embodies a number of trends for 2023 including a dreamy destination wedding location, unusual table set ups and modern, neutral florals which are ideas and details that wedding planning couples could take inspiration from and incorporate into their own styling and future wedding plans.
