Dorfold Hall is one of Cheshire’s hidden gems. An enchanting privately owned family home, this romantic 400 year old Jacobean stately home is surrounded by its beautifully tended grounds which merge into the rolling landscape beyond. A quintessentially English setting, this pretty and romantic shoot captures the heart of the venue.
We had the absolute pleasure of using the stunning Dorfold Hall in Nantwich, Cheshire as a backdrop for a summer bridal inspiration shoot.
Dorfold Hall opened it’s doors as an exclusive wedding venue in Cheshire and is a perfect setting with breathtaking views. The gardens are particualrly beautiful so we wanted to make the most of Dorfold’s amazing grounds.
The gardens are an abundance of rhododendrons, roses and peonies in the summer creating the most romantic of backdrops for any wedding. With this at the forefront of our minds we created a look and feel for the shoot that was influenced by the back to nature, colourful vibe of Pre-Raphaelite artists and their work with a hint of quintessential English Rose. Breige, of Flowers by Breige, did an amazing job of the florals; stunning bouquets reflecting the roses and peonies of the gardens as well as the pretty tablescape which also featured some calligraphy courtesy of Postman’s Knock in Nantwich.
Hair and makeup was beautiful and oh-so-pretty bringing out the natural beauty of our bride for the day, Megan, who wore Gardenia and Phaedra gowns by Claire Pettibone. Our handsome groom, Aaron, looked charming in a perfectly tailored suit by Papas Tailoring. Thank you also to Moodys 1883 for supplying three amazing engagement rings, including a gorgeous tourmaline gemstone with diamonds.
Last but by no means least, we had an angelic little flower girl, Maisy. Thank you Maisy, you were a star!
