Not necessarily the kiss-me-quick, candy floss and fair-ground kind of seaside… nope. I’m more the raw coastlines and haunting whispers on the sea breeze kind of girl.
Living in Brighton, my absolute favourite time of year is just as the autumn air starts to fall and the tourists have packed up their buckets and spades. The vast space and beauty of the beach leaves me breathless and full all at the same time. It’s this emotion that I wanted to capture in today’s chic yet wistful nautical wedding inspiration…
Think soft greys and taupes, creams with a dash of pink and barely there dove blues…

Billowing silks and chiffons work beautifully for this kind of nautical fashion, less of the stripes and more of the texture is most certainly the way to go… For your gown look to off whites and greying silvers for a gorgeous take on the traditional. For your girls, pick out the softest blues to compliment the watery surroundings.
Accessories should be delicate and a touch of metallic will reflect the shimmering light of the beach. I love this oh-so-pretty headpiece by BHLDN (tempted to buy this right now) and these shoes with an ever so slight silvery sheen.
