When the bride-to-be is an interior designer, you know that her wedding is going to be super stylish… Well Ria and David’s wedding certainly didn’t disappoint and we were delighted to see they hosted their wedding reception at the gorgeous Swanton Morley House & Gardens last September.
If you’ve not yet met this wedding venue the you simply must take a look; Swanton Morley House is located in the heart of the Norfolk countryside and the venue itself is set within 10 acres of beautiful gardens, woodland and meadow.
Ria and David chose Jason Mark Harris Wedding Photography to capture their special day and we’re so pleased to spot some our fave suppliers including The Little Lending Co. and Hélène Millot amongst the talented team.
Notes from the Venue
Ria started her day with her bridal party at the very chic St Giles Boutique Bed & Breakfast in Norwich and we absolutely love the image showing the moment Ria’s Dad first saw his daughter in her elegant lace wedding gown.
Ria and David’s wedding ceremony was held at St Margaret’s Church in Old Catton, Norwich and whilst the skies were cloudy everybody was delighted that the rain held off so that the guests could still enjoy some confetti throwing at the end of the service.
The rain did eventually start upon David and Ria’s arrival at Swanton Morley House & Gardens but this did not deter them from getting some lovely shots on our tree lined drive and in the woodland whilst guests enjoyed drinks and canapés

Could this feature image be any more romantic…? I think not.
This is Jasmine & Will and they celebrated their wedding day and the utterly epic The Green in Cornwall. A versatile, rustic blank canvas of a venue it also offers the most magical outdoor wedding ceremonies under their gorgeous arbour.
I’m completely in awe of this couple’s handy work! If their wood slice welcome signs and pallet tableplans have you reaching for your Woodwork 101 Guide then I don’t blame you.
Notes from The Wedding Venue
We just love these stunning photos of Jasmine and Will’s romantic English wedding at our venue, The Green Cornwall. The feel of the day was understated, elegant, natural and romantic with a Boho edge and they celebrated with 60 of their friends and family.

If you’ve just started researching weddings hoping to find a spark of inspiration for your own big day, then you’ve no doubt come across the word ‘Greenery‘. Highlighted as Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2017 it’s a colour that’s set to be big for the year ahead, in fact we were crushing on this particular hue in our 2017 Wedding Trend Report just a few weeks ago.
However, on first glance, this colour might seem a little bit daunting and a whole lot of bright. Well, to tone everything down a little and to show you how to incorporate this colour in your wedding day flowers and décor we have one of our fave florists on hand to help.
Over to the wonderful Joanne Truby Floral Design…
How to use ‘Greenery’ in your wedding day décor
Each year we eagerly anticipate news from Pantone announcing their ‘colour of the year’ for the year ahead. Always guaranteed to filter through to fashion and home interiors the colour also plays a pivotal role in shaping the wedding trends for the year to come.
Last years dual combination Rose Quartz and Serenity got us all awash with pastels but this years bright injection of Greenery makes a beautiful bright contrast which can be incorporated into so many aspects of your big day. A refreshing and revitalising shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings – what could be more suited to the day that marks the beginning of the rest of your life!

Nestled amongst breathtaking scenery and picturesque river walks… Brinkburn definitely makes your heart skip a beat and allows your imagination to go wild at the endless beauty of this country estate venue.
With a perfect neutral palette in the aptly named white room; the inspiration behind this shoot was all about dark hues of black and gold, soft feminine hints of pink and decadent dipped feathers. We wanted raw love with dramatic gowns meets elegant simplicity.

Coombe Trenchard, cradled within Dartmoor’s epic landscapes, is a tranquil venue with Art Nouveau charm and stunning features. There’s a stream, sweeping lawns, an Italian terrace where marquees can be sighted with views from the Italian columns across to Brent Tor and now, a newly refurbished snug.
We love this venue and we also love the ladies at Blue Fizz Events who were the masterminds behind the styling for this piece. Whilst we’re in the midst of Christmas, fairylights and mulled wine why not take a refreshing step into Spring with this garden inspired styled shoot captured by McKenzie Brown.
Notes from Blue Fizz
The focus of this shoot is on the beautifully refurbished coach house at Coome Trenchard which offers a bar area, dance floor and snug area complete with sofas, easy chairs and an entrance area with fire pits on either side. This venue is versatile and breathtaking and our theme too inspiration from its gardens which are open to the public during the week. I wanted a focus on the flora and green-on-green that an English country garden brings with a nod to the modern for our forward thinking couples!
I imagined an informal yet decadent banquet on the lawn with rustic furniture, delicate vintage crockery and vintage champagne saucers all supplied by Combe Trenchard, complete with edible floating flowers from The Flower Mill in the champagne! I created handmade napkins from a vintage fabric and used blades of greenery as the napkin rings alongside some of our Blue Fizz Events hire items, our abundance of flowers and greenery were supplied by The Flower Mill who brought together the show stopping displays, head piece and a riot of fresh colours throughout.
