After attending several weddings with my own two small children, I realised that there was an opportunity to make the so called ‘problem’ of children at weddings into an amazing experience for both them and their parents.

As people are getting married later, it is often the case that either the happy couple or certainly their friends will have their own children. When expected to sit still for a 3-course meal and listen to speeches for several hours, children can be both costly and slightly disruptive, which can be frustrating for the Bride & Groom and also the parents. We at The Little Top can make everyone enjoy the day!

We set up one of our decorated little top tents or dens with furnishings, bunting, toys, games, arts and crafts, fancy dress and nonsense so that children have their own space and fun. We can decorate any area, indoors or out, and can even theme our handmade decorations to your wedding colours if desired.

We provide CRB checked experienced childcarers, magicians, face painters, entertainment and even individual packed lunches for the little monkeys, and take great pleasure in inventing scavenger and treasure hunts, silly games and activities across all ages.

We even offer babysitting and late night sleepovers in our tents or your venue, with a film night, hot chocolate and popcorn, blankets and fairy lights, while the adults can dance the night away!

We understand that memories will be made on your wedding day to keep forever, and we hope we can add lots of happy little faces to them.

Our Brand

The Little Top provides beautiful themed tents and dens for children at your wedding, alongside wedding childcare and entertainment. We aim to solve the “should we invite children..?” dilemma by helping to keep them so happy, that you’ll be glad you did!

We offer a bespoke and very personal service to ensure that we are providing the perfect package to suit you, the children and the overall theme and inspiration behind your wedding.

Our Advice

Our main tip would be that if the children are happy, the adults are happy!

We find having a specific area set up for children, even the older ones, means that they have their own space without the formality of the adults area – even a table with some colouring or lego, or a film for later on means that they are much more likely to enjoy the day and if you have outdoor space, some games or beach balls are a great idea.

Our packages

• Our packages start at £675 for a beautifully decorated and filled tent with toys, fancy dress, craft activities, games, lego, balls, balloons, circus tricks and fun. We can include lighting and heating, blankets, and a ‘film night’ if required.

• Our childcarers are £25/person/hour.

• Our children’s individual packed lunch kits are £5.95 each.
• We also make bespoke individual ‘wedding survival kits’, a beautiful box of personalised toys, tricks and games for each child to keep little ones busy throughout the day. These are £14.95 each.
