Having accommodation at your chosen venue not only means you can create a home-from-home/wedding village vibe, but you can also simplify logistics, extend the celebrations to include a pre-wedding cocktail party, post-wedding brunch/pool party, and it means those tired dancing feet can always take a (brief) break and slip into something a little more comfortable for going the distance on the dance floor! With all of this in mind, it’s no wonder couples are being savvy with their priorities (and budget), choosing precious time with their loved ones via a multi-day wedding experience over lavish florals and statement gowns (some are doing this too, of course!).
Offering the ultimate wedding escape, our edit of 15 venues not only provides a stunning backdrop for your vows but also ensures your celebrations can continue beyond just one day. From luxurious hotel suites to charming treehouses and sumptuous guest bedrooms in rambling country piles, there really is something for everyone.
Although this feature focuses on wedding venue accommodation, you might find a new hidden gem amongst them and be inclined to book a pre—or post-wedding romantic retreat!
Aswarby Rectory
“Our home is yours”—does it get any more authentic, warm, and welcoming? Aswarby Rectory is, first and foremost, a family home that opens its doors with kindness and welcomes its couples with open arms. This simple, stripped-back, soulful space is a beautiful blank canvas, home to charming reception rooms, quintessential gardens, and eight quietly luxurious bedrooms.
The owners, a young family with a background in design, clearly have a passion for architecture and interiors and cherish their patch of the Lincolnshire countryside. You can’t help but feel welcomed, excited, and deeply privileged to share it with them, if only for a weekend.
Avington
If you fancy something a little more commanding and luxurious, meet Avington—a quintessentially British country estate famously known as Hampshire’s party palace! Here, you can expect luxury, magnificence and complete exclusivity (if you wish), 17 guest bedrooms, dramatic staterooms, a decadent honeymoon suite (Duchess Chandos Suite), and a luxurious prep area.
Enjoy this characterful estate as your own private escape to explore and enjoy. Whether your guests choose to reside in a four-poster bed in the main house, revel in modern luxury at Stillwaters House, or cosy up in a rustic shepherd’s hut, there are facilities for a further 42 of your nearest and dearest to reside on the estate during your wedding celebrations.
Camel Studio
Overlooking the rolling hills of the Camel Valley in Cornwall, Camel Studio is a unique and idyllic venue. It is neither a rustic barn nor a country house… it’s much more interesting and original than that! It’s contemporary, light, bright, and modern, offering an intimate yet impressive setting for a ceremony and celebration for up to 50 guests.
Helen and Dave, the passionate and detail-focused owners of Camel Studio, bring a personal touch, going above and beyond to ensure couples have the most beautiful day. On-site, their stylish boutique accommodation sleeps eight, allowing couples and their guests to settle in and enjoy a relaxed, holiday-like atmosphere. This is a true hidden treasure!
Chapel House Estate
Nestled close to the Kent coast with panoramic views, Chapel House Estate is an exclusive-use venue designed for love-filled celebrations and luxury stays. The estate features a romantic orchard for outdoor ceremonies, a stunning banqueting barn for receptions, and a charming converted Chapel with five luxurious bedrooms. Additionally, there are nine contemporary Hideaway Lodges in the west paddock that offer understated luxury for guests and when it comes to the morning after, everything is taken care of. The award-winning on-site restaurant is the perfect location for everyone to gather, enjoy some delicious breakfast, and indulge in a post-wedding debrief!

Dewsall Court
Dewsall Court exudes a familiar, warm, and relaxing atmosphere, making it feel like a beloved countryside retreat as soon as you step foot on the Herefordshire soil. This is the character and appeal of Dewsall, a family-owned manor house overlooking the Black Mountains: it’s lived in and much loved, yet you have the freedom to make it your own. Offering couples exclusive use for extended weekends or midweek stays, when it comes to accommodation, there are eight bedrooms in the main house and two more in the Cottage Barn within the grounds, each with a story (and magnificent bath to sink into!). With the addition of the glass-sided reception space (the Wainhouse barn), acres of orchards, a lake, manicured and wild gardens, and an idyllic on-site church, Dewsall is the ultimate escape for those who love the countryside with a side order of quirk.
Elmley Nature Reserve
Tucked away on the Isle of Sheppey, just 50 miles south of London, is Elmley Nature Reserve, a 3200-acre expanse of marshland. Elmley has a magical, end-of-the-world atmosphere, albeit—quite literally—with added creature comforts. As well as being a glorious place to immerse yourself in nature, it’s also home to a versatile wedding venue which looks gorgeous as an empty shell, or you can go to town and make the space your own.
Onsite, dotted around the reserve, are a handful of secluded shepherds’ huts and a Victorian farmhouse that has been meticulously restored and features six luxurious and stylish bedrooms. The accommodation has been finely tuned with the surroundings and views in mind, not to mention the interiors whose palette is inspired by the evocative and extraordinary range of colours of Elmey’s ever-changing skies. This is a carefully considered and totally dreamy wedding venue, but it’s also a pretty perfect weekend escape.

Hampton Manor
Having been fortunate enough to have visited (and stayed) at the magnificent Hampton Manor, we can attest that this very cool Midlands venue is the epitome of ‘home-from-home’ luxury. The interiors are perfect for the modern couple and their guests: stylish, welcoming, and a glorious clash of colour, pattern, and texture. Although ‘modern’ in style, mid-century flourishes and original features are abundant through this Arts and Crafts, William Morris-inspired venue. Pair this with a serious food ethos, beautiful grounds, and an accessible location, and you have an exceptional wedding offering.

Middleton Lodge Estate
Nestled in North Yorkshire, Middleton Lodge Estate is a private 200-acre retreat that is effortlessly stylish yet big on heart and soul. The estate has two diverse yet equally stunning wedding venues: the Palladian Main House and The Fig House, an orangery tucked away in the walled garden and drenched in natural light.
Here, accommodations range from cosy potting sheds and shepherd’s huts to the honey-coloured farmhouse and cottages, all embodying their much-loved farmhouse-chic aesthetic with features such as wonky beams, flagged floors, and wood-burning fires, which all contribute to the warm, homely feel of this Yorkshire country pile. Guests can enjoy the spa, swimming pool, and Michelin Green Star-awarded restaurant, which showcases nourishing, down-to-earth cuisine from the best local produce. With its mix of kitchen gardens, orchards, and ornamental parkland, Middleton Lodge is a dreamy countryside escape perfect for a relaxed yet refined wedding celebration.
The Bell in Ticehurst
A Coco fave, The Bell in Ticehurst is an utterly charming coaching inn and a location we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing firsthand. Although a village pub at heart, this multi-award-winning venue offers a unique blend of tradition and whimsy. The Bell has preserved its heritage imperfections, creating a unique and unrivalled wedding destination that’s anything but ordinary. Every corner tells a story, from the seven uniquely styled rooms in the main building, brimming with eclectic trinkets, to the magical garden lodges like the Love Nest, with its curved wooden walls, a flock of cuckoo clocks, and freestanding copper bath. Other lodges, like Pour l’Amour, continue the charm with pine-panelled walls, stained glass windows, and private gardens complete with jetted tubs and wood burners. In each of their cosy, quirky retreats, guests can expect homemade biscuits, Love & More toiletries, and all the comforts of home.
The George in Rye
Located in a medieval town with a fascinating history, The George in Rye, a former coaching inn, is SO much more than a ‘pub with rooms’. Each of its 34 bedrooms has its own character and charm and is a treasure trove of antique furniture, vintage gems, and upcycled pieces. This is a destination hotel with a difference! Predominantly because it is also home to an original Georgian ballroom, the beams date back to 1575, and just four miles down the road, you’ll find the white beach of Camber Sands. Revamped with a sympathetic touch and oh-so welcoming atmosphere, your guests will be truly spoilt with plenty to do around your celebrations (post-wedding beach picnic or a rummage around the various antique shops dotted around town, anyone?).
The Hoxton Southwark
The Hoxton Southwark is a chic urban hotel and an excellent choice for discerning modern couples seeking an achingly cool London wedding. This venue offers everything from amazing food and killer drinks to stylish decor (think concrete ceilings, industrial Crittall-style windows, and bare brick walls) and breathtaking views, creating the ultimate city celebration. With its sun-kissed colour palette and Mediterranean-inspired decor, the hotel and rooftop restaurant Seabird gives off a luxurious, far-flung vibe, all in the culturally rich Southwark neighbourhood.
The Apartment, a design lover’s dream, is ideal for intimate weddings with its six private rooms, open-plan pantry bar, and wraparound balcony overlooking the Thames. For a larger celebration, their 12th-floor space offers stunning skyline views for an elevated soiree. Plus, with ample guest accommodations, your loved ones can stay close by, making it easy to continue the festivities.

Wildhive Callow Hall
Tucked away in 35 acres of picturesque gardens, wild meadows, and woodlands, Wildhive Callow Hall is a charming Victorian country house perfectly positioned at the gateway to the Peak District. With a range of accommodations that cater to every guest’s needs, the house has 15 colourful and characterful rooms, 11 secluded woodland “Hives,” and two luxurious Treehouses, so your guests can unwind in style and privacy after a day of festivities.
The Treehouses feature wraparound decks, outdoor bathtubs, and well-equipped kitchens (I can feel a staycation coming on!), while the intimate Hives provide cosy seclusion surrounded by nature. Onsite, The Garden Room restaurant serves a seasonal menu crafted from local produce, making it a perfect addition for weddings, family reunions, or romantic retreats.
Wolterton Park
When we say exclusive, we mean exclusive! For couples seeking the epitome of exclusivity, Wolterton Park is a rare gem, hosting only six weddings a year. This grand Palladian house, built in 1742 and meticulously restored, offers a once-in-a-lifetime setting in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. Stepping into Wolterton is like stepping back in time, with 11 stunning bedrooms (including the opulent State Bedroom Suite—perfect for newlyweds), original chandeliers, and period charm by the bucketload. Beyond the main house, the estate offers an array of beautifully appointed holiday cottages, such as the East Wing and the Gate House, each with private outdoor spaces and access to the expansive parkland. Every corner of this stately hideaway exudes lavish English country elegance, and if I were you, I’d get it booked before anyone else does!
