A ‘Home Tour’ of The Wisteria Suite at The Orangery

The Orangery’s beauty is apparent from the moment guests enter its wrought iron gates. The venue’s nine acres of landscaped gardens hold many treasures, including a breathtaking lake, a tumbling waterfall, and a romantic woodland walk.

Couples getting married at The Orangery have a choice of three wedding ceremony areas – each as spectacular as the other – including The Lapa by the lake, The Gazebo on the lawn, and The Garden Room overlooking the bridge. The wedding breakfast and evening reception take place in the famous glass-fronted orangery, with its adjoining patio area and sprawling views across the grounds.

The Orangery is proud to present its newly renovated dressing area, aptly named The Wisteria Suite in honor of the scented purple flower that climbs the building during wisteria season. The team wanted to offer clients a dressing area that was as beautiful as it was functional, ensuring that every inch of their getting-ready photos captured the romance of the day that was to follow.

The Wisteria Suite was designed by interior designers House of Love, the sister company to Hire Love. The beautiful decor gives an eclectic vibe, sympathetic to the Georgian features of the building it resides in, but with a modern twist that reflects The Orangery’s client.

It’s a muted palette, inspired by faded grandeur and chinoiserie, with beautiful details at every turn. It has an overwhelmingly calming feel, emphasised by the soft scent of candles, which is instantly relaxing – essential on the morning of your wedding day!

The Wisteria Suite looks phenomenal in photos, with pockets of Instagrammable perfection, including a number of dried flower displays created by Caroline at Wild Rubus, Bloom & Wild’s former lead florist.

When couples marry at any of the Glow Event wedding venues in Kent, which alongside The Orangery also includes The Gardens in Yalding and The Castle Westenhanger in Hythe, the team promises to “create memories that make you glow.” The Wisteria Suite at The Orangery will do just that; it provides a truly magical and unforgettable setting to get ready on the most important morning of your life.
