An English Autumn Wedding at The Bingham

The moment I saw this styled shoot I wanted to live in it.

This stunning piece of autumnal inspiration is jam packed with gorgeous details, including the most epic veil which I’m now coveting. As I’m not exactly in the market for a veil, this is a problem.

The location of this classic city wedding venue is divine, set on the banks of the river Thames, The Bingham is the perfect setting for this autumnal alfresco shoot.

Kat: Autumn is a wonderful season in which to get married and it absolutely shouldn’t be overlooked in favour of the more popular summer weddings. The autumnal light is beautiful and the trees and floral decorations available at this time also tend to be a bit more quirky. After the brighter and more vibrant summer flowers the warmer and more mellow autumnal shades of warm reds, orange and deep yellows come into play.

Bearing this in mind, we wanted to style an autumn themed wedding shoot to showcase some of these beautiful ideas and colours. We added the yellow wellies to enhance the feeling of English weather as it can be temperamental, but also still very beautiful! The naked cake from Cakes by Robin made this cake to show the nakedness of nature and how beautiful it can be.

We chose The Bingham Hotel in Richmond as our location. As a stunning boutique hotel, this little treasure is located on the banks of the Thames and has superb unbroken views of the river with Richmond bridge to the east and to the west there is Petersham meadows. It is intimate and very, very romantic.
