Notes from the venue

the venue

As a luxury East Midlands wedding venue, Prestwold Hall boasts plenty of beautiful outdoor backdrops – especially during Winter. What could be more magical than a sprinkling of snow and crisp air as your photographer captures your special day on camera. If you don’t fancy braving the weather outside, we have roaring fires, cosy interiors, hot toddies and a warm welcome waiting for you indoors. Renowned for exquisite catering and heart-warming menus there’s something quite special about wintertime at Prestwold Hall. Each room boasts a unique character, from your ceremony in the vibrant Grand Library to your wedding breakfast in the decedent Drawing Room.

Inspiration & Styling

The wintery colour palette takes inspiration from the interior décor of each room at Prestwold Hall, an elegant design with pops of sage and gold throughout. The floral arrangements with white roses, pine and wild greenery pull the whole look together. Using atmospheric lighting to transport your guests to a winter wonderland with candles, lanterns, tea-lights and fairy lights.

The wedding breakfast features soft blush pink to compliment the pastel walls and blush curtains in the Drawing Room. On the table, pinecones are paired with white winter floral arrangements. The cream, blush and sage shades are complemented by gold rimmed glassware and coloured linens, along with minimalist bespoke stationery and stunning ice chairs.

Fashion & Beauty

The bride wore a teardrop neckline dress designed by Jesus Peiro. The dress features a large bow on the waist and was styled two ways, creating a daytime look with a tulle overskirt, replacing with sheer sleeves in the evening. The look completed with statement updo and soft glam make up. The groom wore a tailored grey suit from Scotneys of London Road with matching bowtie and waistcoat for a contemporary bold style.
