Winter Wedding Inspiration at Brickhouse Vineyard

Written by Caitlin Hoare
Even in the depths of winter, there is plenty of inspiration and magical treasures to celebrate; this is especially true when Brickhouse Vineyard is the backdrop.

Today’s editorial is a beautiful concoction of foraged materials, bold bridal style, feathers, texture, earthenware and animals, all warmed by the magic of candlelight. This is an excellent demonstration of how enchanting a festive, wintery wedding can be, and I’m here for it all…

Notes from the Stylist

Phoebe Says…

This seasonal style shoot was a celebration of the wild countryside. Foraged greenery interspersed with feathers & twigs contrasted with the natural stone colours and textures, singing a winter hymnal together.

The bridal outfit consisted of a set of incredible statement separates from Rock the Frock, incorporating a day and evening look. Our bride wore the same floaty skirt throughout but paired it with a romantic off-the-shoulder top for an ethereal ceremony look and a black lace top for a bolder evening vibe. The hair & makeup dream team created a solid look to complement with a stunning French plait and smokey eye, perfect for a decadent winter wedding. Our groom looked incredibly dashing in a classic, all-black tux and bow tie.

Drawing on icy winters, this shoot showcased a fiercely feminine aesthetic with our stunning bride galloping through the vineyard on her beautiful grey horse and her caramel Vizsla, who was with her throughout the day.

The inimitable Holly Bee Flowers worked with foraged greenery, lichen, moss and the last of her homegrown flowers for the decor. Her creations sprung from the tables, the floor and around our beautiful moon-shaped arch, dotted with pheasant feathers and gorgeous egg-textured vases. I try to ensure that all the hire items I use are sustainably sourced and artisan made – and so Glas Events hire range was a perfect choice for the elegant black candelabras and unique charger plates.

Boho Cakes created a delicious two-tier gold flecked stone textured cake to complement the look, with finishing touches including a base of lichen and some carefully selected dried seed heads to tie everything together.

Delicate beeswax flowers created by Millie Uhlein for our favours complemented the natural vibe, and the most incredible hand-crafted rope chandeliers from Stories & Light helped structure the spaces with interesting focal points.
