I can’t quite believe that today is the final instalment of The Look by Amber Persia…
Throughout the year Amber’s taken us on a little styling journey through our style categories and we’re ending with my absolute favourite creation. This beautifully classic elegant scene was styled at Bridwell and photographed by Theresa Furey – this dream team make me swoon!
Amber:
Exquisite hand-blown glass, scented white roses and masses of candles; refined, understated, glamorous and timeless, and perfectly in keeping with the simple serenity of the Chapel at Bridwell Park.
Simplicity was the key to creating this look, so beautifully captured on film by the talented Theresa Furey; the hand-blown glass vases of differing heights, shapes and sizes, but all in the same style, introduce a touch of modernity to the arrangements, whilst to maintain the classic look, keeping with just one variety of fragrant white rose keeps the florals clean and crisp. Using a variety of both pillar and taper candles, which reflect wonderfully in the collection of glassware, simply adds to the elegant look.

Generously proportioned and beautifully etched glasses add to the feeling of decadence, further enhanced by the striking solid bronze cutlery, the only hint of colour on the table.
My advice when designing a look as simple as this – it is entirely reliant on the quality of the pops, and the exquisite, understated beauty of the flowers. It’s a definite case of ‘less is more’ and how simple repetition can be so successful.
