Little London at the Roman Baths

Written by Emma Hla
This late spring shoot took place at the instantly recognisable and world-renowned Roman Baths, in Bath. It’s a genuine world heritage site making for the most stunning backdrop, packed with incredible details, statues, columns and the famous hot baths!

The creative team knew that the shoot needed to show the incredible venue the respect it deserved whilst shining a spotlight on the wonderful clothes and skills brought together by their all-female team. The shoot also had to be in the evening given this is a major tourist attraction and all visitors would need to be off the historic premises. No ordinary brief!

The Wedding Collective is the creative driving force behind the shoot and is the side hustle of a Bath based duo who met working on the Bath In Fashion event. One half is social media influencer and PR freelancer Sarah Baker and the other hair designer, bridal and fashion stylist Abigail Constanza.

Notes from the Stylists

Our first task, once the creative brief had been agreed, was to source our photographer. Emma Leviers, Heart Full of Tea, describes her style as a ‘quirky’ and her gorgeous Instagram demonstrates her ability to capture her couples at their very best and most relaxed. She had also recently shot a wedding at the baths, so knew exactly what she was doing! And yes, you can get married at the baths in the evenings. The baths are roman torch lit, as our images show, and make for a truly romantic and atmospheric setting.

Our #littlelondon brief was to be a slick, cool shoot, with jumpsuits and two pieces; knowing that couples come to Bath looking for an on-trend stylish city wedding but on a more manageable scale.

Sarah drove for 5 hours to London to collect the House of Ollichon jumpsuits, we were that keen to use this designer! This luxury bridal brand has been making all the right noises to get noticed here in the South West, with their dress free designs winning our creative hearts.

Abi, of course, was also responsible for the relaxed and beautiful hair styling with Nicole from Blomme, the new floral kid on the block, being our gorgeous floral designer. Experienced make up artist Christy Waterfall brought elegance and beauty to enhance the incredible face of our model Ann, who professionally fought a chilly evening waterside! Details were added by nail supremo Laura Streeter with gold tipped nails and accessories from Britten.

We are super proud to say that this shoot took place before Meghan and Harry’s big day and that we were bang on trend with our sleek styling, fabulous hair and smooth silhouette styling!
