Today’s palette is a little bit dreamy… But then, I think anything under the Rustic Romance umbrella is desperately pretty.
Mauve is having it’s moment and I can’t wait to guide you through this summery lavender wedding inspiration.
First up, a bike with baskets filled to the brim with lavender. A firm rustic wedding fave. I also love the gorgeous Je t’aime sign on the back… Don’t you lovelies…? Go simple with your cake, buttery tiers decorated with olive leaf and lavender wreaths will not only smell divine but will look the rustic-part.
Delicate, ethereal gowns in dusty periwinkle blue are perfect for your maids, or would you be brave enough to shun the white wedding dress in favour of a pastel…? Carry a bold bouquet of lavender sprigs, from light lilac through to the darker violet tones. Tie with a big blush bow – the most perfect accompaniment to a lavender palette.
Bouts for the boys can be suitably delicate with sprigs of purple buds set against blush roses and foliage. For an alternative to confetti ask your guests to throw sweet-smelling lavender – the scent will follow you around all day long. Delicious!
Carefully place sprigs on top of your place settings and why not add lavender to your homemade lemonade for a refreshingly fragrant drink.
Want something a little bit special…? Then infuse your stationery with lavender, a treat and a first glimpse for your guests into your pretty hued wedding…
