If interiors are your thing and you absolutely love having a nose around people’s homes (!) then delve a little deeper into this ‘home’ tour with a bridal twist. Explore the gorgeous surroundings and hear about Nicola’s design choices and what you could expect on your wedding day…
Nicola:
The 18th Century former workers’ cottage has been fully refurbished to provide luxury accommodation for our wedding couples. This detached stone cottage is available for two nights, the night before and the night of the wedding. The space has been decorated in a rustic-luxe style with natural materials of slate, oak and linen with plenty of glass and metallic sparkle for added glamour. The colour scheme is a calming palette of Farrow & Ball greys and whites throughout which act as the perfect foil for the contemporary furniture (including a pair of white and silver cowskin cubes!) and metallic and crystal accessories.
Brides are quick to bag the cottage for themselves and their bridesmaids for the night before the wedding the minute they see the open plan dressing space with large mirror and mini beauty salon area for hair and make up, all under a vaulted beamed ceiling with wood burning stove and plenty of seating for the bridal party to sip champagne as they get ready for the day ahead. 3-4 bridesmaids can sleep in the cottage the night before and we also have a separate annexe which sleeps another two people.
Another wow moment comes when the couple see the main bedroom which looks out onto its own private first floor deck with folding doors providing views over the gardens. The deck has comfortable chairs and a dining area for having breakfast outside and its own BBQ for a cosy evening the night before the wedding. There’s a sumptuous ensuite bathroom with freestanding two person bath, a wet room shower, double basins with solid marble counters, all set off with an amazing chandelier – the perfect place for a relaxing soak the day before or after the wedding. Darker colours in the black tiles and ‘Downpipe’ paint of the bathroom ensure that this is a space loved as much by the Groom as well as the Bride.
How gorgeous…?
I adore the ‘getting ready’ space! It’s so easy to imagine this cottage filled with happiness and excitement the morning of your wedding isn’t it…? Whilst the luxe edge oozes glamour for your wedding night. Sheer perfection.
