I was totally inspired by the beautiful pergola at Maunsel House and its existing florals. The idea of having the majority of the floral decorations for a wedding hanging from above rather than on the tables lead to a ‘Hanging Gardens’ theme, incorporating not only beautiful hanging floral arrangements but also the interiors trend for hanging pot plants.
This theme followed on into ideas for a hanging ‘floating’ cake and also a hanging fabric table plan… both of which worked amazingly with the already stunning roses on the pergola.
Colour inspiration again came from interiors trends and I really wanted to introduce an on trend terracotta colour into a traditional palette of blush and burgundy to give the colour scheme a bit more of an edge.
