Ella & Liam’s Summer Elopement at Brickhouse Vineyard

Ella & Liam decided to elope in secret and I couldn’t love their venue choices more. I know many couples will have decided to go ahead with their own small ceremony right now, or perhaps the current situation has influenced your future plans and you’re considering an intimate day. If so, I hope this story makes you feel all the excitement for your own intimate, magical commitment to each other.

Ella says…

We wanted something small and intimate in the middle of nowhere, so Brickhouse Vineyard was the perfect spot!

We only decided we were going to get married about 4 weeks before, so not much time for making serious sartorial choices! My dress was from ASOS and so was Liam’s shirt, I’m an ex-hairdresser so I did my own hair and makeup and I don’t think it turned out too bad!

The décor for the day was relaxed and I guess a bit boho. We didn’t really have a theme, we just wanted to have a great time! BLOEM, which is run by my amazing sister, did our flowers… our wedding was a total secret so I got Carla (our photographer) to ask her to provide a bouquet and buttonhole for a pretend styled shoot, totally trusting her judgement with no brief really, it paid off as they were beautiful.

We didn’t have a cake or any food, we got married at 11am and were at Watergate Bay in Cornwall by lunchtime.

Carla (The Unbridled) is a friend of ours which was super lucky as she’s an amazingly talented photographer too! Liam being a videographer, works with Carla a lot and knew she would capture our day in a relaxed way, there was no contest… it had to be Carla!

Best part of the day

Calling family to tell them we had decided to spend that Tuesday morning getting married!
