Kirsten says…

It’s not often that I visit a place and ask the owner if I can move in but this is exactly what I did when I went to visit Court House Farm in Somerset. Having lived in Portishead for a few years, I had no idea this gem of a home was hiding just a few feet from the high street.

Dating back to the medieval and Tudor times, Court House Farm has been lovingly restored and renovated by it’s owner Helen (who is the loveliest and friendliest lady ever – our quick coffee together lasted several hours!). The history of the house and all its outbuildings is amazing and there really is something magical about the place. Wanting to bring it back into the folds of the local community, the huge barn and courtyards as well as the cattle shed and outbuildings have been turned into event space for markets and events including weddings. You can hire the whole house for the weekend, stay with your family and friends and create the most amazing weekend celebrations and memories.

My head was bursting with ideas walking around the house with Helen and I knew that I really wanted to do a shoot to showcase the beauty and history of the place. After a quick call to wedding friends, we had a plan and all came together with our designs and creativity.
