Today I’m chatting you through the pros of considering a beach wedding in October… Yes, really. Stick with me folks because I’m also introducing you to a very beautiful retreat by the sea in Cornwall.
So, why have a Cornish wedding in October…? Well, firstly, the sunshine hangs on long after the school holidays finish, indeed the South West have had glorious weather in October over the past few years… Think BBQ and games on the beach the evening before, the crowds have gone and the entire beach is just for you.
Secondly, the colours at this time of year are stunning too! I personally adore this season; the early autumn sun setting on leaves of gold, amber and red are the perfect inspiration for your wedding palette. These colours can be carried through into your flowers, decorations and food choices.
My own house is usually dressed in an abundance of fairy lights and candles come the autumn, so just imagine how enchanting a beautiful Cornish 18th Century house would look – bejewelled & super cozy!
To end your celebrations, surprise your guests by lighting up the coastline with fireworks! Snuggle under blankets and sip on mulled wine, totally yummy.
A location that can provide all of the above and more is The Rosevine, nestled on Cornwall’s idyllic Roseland Peninsula, with sweeping views across Gerrans Bay to the tiny fishing village of Portscatho, and a short stroll from a secluded sandy beach at the end of the lane.
Relaxed and stylish, The Rosevine offers an alternative yet intimate wedding venue. A big house by the sea, licensed for civil ceremonies, that can be all yours if you wish.
Here’s Tim to tell you a little more…
Tim:
The Rosevine is for couples who have fond memories of holidays in Cornwall, family ties to the coast or for those who just love to frolic on the beach!
A private space, the house is exclusively yours for your wedding day. You can relax and feel at home, walk barefoot on the beach and embrace the boho vibes by arriving in a VW Camper Van! It’s perfect for couples craving an intimate space, or indeed a marquee or tipi in the grounds can accommodate larger celebrations.
Here’s rough plan of how your wedding might play out; Friday night you would enjoy a BBQ on the beach, Saturday morning would be leisurely and relaxed, breakfast hampers would be delivered to your rooms and the pampering would commence! After the ceremony (either at a local church or at The Rosevine) drinks and canapés would be served followed by dinner and dancing! Your guests can then feast on yummy Cornish Pasties whilst watching the fireworks. The day-after-the-night-before, a hearty breakfast is cooked for all!
We are a very relaxed environment with a skilled and passionate team ensuring everything is of the highest quality and service. We’ve had nearly 10 years of creating beautiful weddings at The Rosevine, skilled and passionate, we simply love what we do!
The Rosevine have 14th – 15th October 2016 currently available for a weekend wedding, should you wish to discover more about this Cornish retreat, book a viewing or discuss your big day details; do contact the team on 01872 580 206 or email info@rosevine.co.uk.
