Bright Summer Wedding Inspiration with Real Couple at Huntsmill Farm

Written by Emma Hla
Set in the rural English countryside at Huntsmill Farm, this is an editorial for city dwelling couples who love an escape to the countryside.

Whilst I’m an autumn lover, I can’t help but feel very cheered by the brightness and warmth of this gorgeous editorial, created by Cynthia at Kimberley Rose Designs. With unique floral designs, a playful colour palette and a cake to-die-for, let a splash of summer wash over you.

Cynthia at Kimberley Rose Designs says…

This shoot was created for city dwelling couples who love an escape to the countryside. Couples who love the idea of having a relaxing wedding weekend with their nearest and dearest at a contemporary countryside venue. Couples who want to bring the vibe of the city / contemporary tones to their classic wedding design. Our city dwellers love the bright, cheery tones of the summer season and want this incorporated into their wedding design which they want to look beautiful and stylish and not at all like the ‘regular’ country weddings.

We were inspired by the gem of a venue that is Huntsmill Farm, a rustic and yet contemporary wedding venue nestled in the Buckinghamshire countryside. The venue is a blank canvas one with a traditional and yet modern contemporary vibe to it. This helped us to incorporate both traditional and modern touches to our overall design, from the semi-naked buttercream cake to the block cube candle holders. It is perfect for couples looking to escape to the countryside for their nuptials but still give it an elegant and contemporary edge.

The team and I wanted to create an editorial that couples can recreate or at least recreate aspects of for their own wedding. One of the things we incorporated into the design was a bespoke flower filled ceremony backdrop that is as rustic and yet contemporary as they come! It gave our ceremony an almost outdoor, woodland feel and makes for such a great focal point for your nuptials whether indoors or outdoors. We built the backdrop in such a way that it can be reused / repurposed as a backdrop for your top table or your cake and dessert station.

I hope our editorial inspires you to play around with colours when considering your wedding design.
