This is pretty much my dream shoot… It combines all of my faves; boho vibes, botanical touches and the sacred ‘getting ready’ ritual that is so, so important.
Hill Place is a new addition to our collection and I’m completely in love with the style of this Georgian Country House. Don’t be fooled by it’s typically classic exterior, because behind this facade is a very cool team – What Peggy Did Next.

Welcome to Hill Place, Swanmore, a Georgian country villa set within twenty acres of Hampshire parkland. The ideal venue for your exclusive-use, wedding, house party or event.
Hill Place is first and foremost a private home which gives you a hug as you walk in (as will the staff and the dogs!). It is most definitely not a corporate, cold, corridor laden old house; and we would not dream of dictating your day to you – we’re here to make it what you want it to be.
We have a large collection of the very best local suppliers who are on hand to offer expert advice and help you create the most special of days. Recently, What Peggy Did Next, the events team at Hill Place brought together some of these fabulous folk to showcase their talents in the form of a beautiful bridal shoot.
With renowned Hampshire photographer Angela Ward-Brown behind the lens and Sarah from WPDN as producer and stylist, a contemporary, ultra-glossy bridal story played out. Model and top MAC artist Sophie Penn and her son Gabriel wore Tara Keely, via Hannah Elizabeth Bridal, and Marks and Spencer respectively, whilst up-and-coming florist Laura Smith created a modern take on imperial splendour, inspired by the tropics and exotic botanics.
Smallpiece Catering crafted an exquisite menu complete with breakfast hamper for overnight guests, rustic sharing platters and obligatory gin cocktails, courtesy of their popular gin bar. Calligraphy artist Merrie & Bright provided hand-drawn menus and place-cards whilst beautiful vintage chairs were supplied by Purple Door Props.
When it comes to real weddings, Hill Place has a license for all five ground floor reception rooms with a maximum of sixty guests so you can even choose where you get married! When it comes to the reception, the sky is literally the limit. With uninterrupted of beautiful parkland and orchards you can enjoy the house, or take over the two acres of garden with a marquee for up to 180 guests with any kind of entertainment: Fairgrounds, music festivals; all have become reality at Hill Place.
Rest assured no two weddings are the same at Hill Place, and we pride ourselves on that.

Next summer it’s the 40th Anniversary of Hill Place and to celebrate, throughout July they’re
offering their last summer 2017 dates at a very special rate!
In July 1977, their owner Will’s family began their journey with Hill Place, and to mark this special occasion they’re offering select summer 2017 dates at a discounted rate. Their wedding packages include exclusive use of Hill Place and its grounds, including one night’s accommodation for up to 14 guests, your wedding ceremony for up to 60 in their Morning Room as well as the house for your reception, or garden to put up a marquee.
