I don’t know about you, but this cold weather makes me want to ease into Monday mornings; a longer-than-usual coffee in bed, snuggly blankets on the sofa and cashmere joggers are considered essential ‘work attire’. I also love spending these slightly more relaxed starts browsing beautiful wedding inspiration and I’ve got the most gorgeous wedding experience to share!
Captured by Ruth Garner this is the wedding film of all wedding films. It’s an epic on so many levels. It’s not just the fact it’s 20 mins of wedding goodness (totally worth it people trust me!) but it also encapsulates what our couples are looking for – a relaxed weekend-long celebration with their friends & family. This film tells you the story of such a weekend at Ballinacurra House. The last epic point to mention is the bride and her sartorial choices – I actually lost count of the number of dresses! Each more magical than the last! If I wasn’t so smitten with this wedding I’d be green with envy.
Lastly, if the way he looks at her throughout the ceremony doesn’t give you goosebumps, we don’t know what will!
Ben & Naomi we salute you.
Virginia:
Ballinacurra House is one of those places that people just fall in love with.
It has the right balance of decadent interiors to make it feel luxurious and just enough eclectic to make it interesting. But it also has so many little neutral nooks and crannies, both indoors and around the sprawling 40 acres estate, that can be a blank canvas allowing the creative couples to express themselves.
We absolutely love that our venue allows guests to come up with their own unique and authentic version of how they envisage their wedding and it’s the reason why no two weddings are the same at Balliancurra. Its quite the cameleon of a property and we are continually surprised and delighted at how guests make it their own.
Once such couple, Ben & Naomi, had a very clear vision of how they wanted to tell their love story and what they wanted their guests to experience. They searched locations across the UK and Ireland and when they got to Ballinacurra, they just knew that it was the perfect backdrop to bring this story and vision to life…
They used every inch of the property and with the help of the planning team at Ballinacurra, they worked to make their wedding dreams a reality. Think Jetty parties, romantic strolls in the woods, disco trees at midnight, chats by the firepit, Cuban cocktails, boat rides at sunset and much, much more. The brides creative background and experience in the fashion industry certainly added an extra layer of authenticity. Such a magnificient selection of interesting props and accessories were incorporated throughout the weekend-long celebrations. In fact you will probably have to watch the video again to really take in all those wonderful outfits! And all so effortlessly chic. (The grooms Pink Flamingo socks didn’t go unnoticed!).
