Aynhoe Park is one of those amazing venues, filled with sparkle, glamour and mystery! It ticks every photographers box as a dream wedding venue! “Aynhoe Park wedding photographer” is what everyone dreams to add to their list. So much so that I created a styled shoot there with a dream team a year before A&A’s wedding. It was a massive personal project and ticked so many boxes and from this the dream finally became reality when I was hired to shoot A&A’s elegant wedding at Aynhoe Park.

I adored A’s amazing wedding dress, created by Le Spose di Gio their work is classic and elegant and really suited my bride. The neckline was a pure dream, and one of my favourite photos of her in her dress was when they both went for a walk in the sunset and they embrace tightly, showing off the back of the dress at its finest. No outfit is complete without a class pair of Jimmy Choos!

Over the course of 3 days, the wedding weekend was amazing. From a welcome dinner, wedding day and farewell tea ceremony. The styling of the wedding day added in classic elements, with a beautiful floral backdrop full of textured and autumnal foliage acting as the WOW-factor for the ceremony. Later it was the perfect prop for couple photos and the drinks reception. What was great is that nothing went unused – once the main wedding day had finished the team then deconstructed the florals and bouquet were wrapped up alongside macaroons for parting gifts for the guests which was such a nice touch!

Balloons were also injected into the venues for some fun – taking inspiration from the existing statue in the grand staircase with golden orbs with foil tassels.

With this being a late autumn wedding, we were quite tight for time after the ceremony to get shots not only with light, but with guests needing to go back into the Orangery for drinks reception and speeches. So shots in the Orangery were done in record time to allow for the chairs to be cleared and the space set for the drinks. This meant working angles quickly and effectively – which luckily in a venue like Aynhoe is not hard at all! There are strong shots wherever you turn and the connection between my couple was amazing to get in camera! Just before the call to dinner we were able to get the last bit of the sunset rays at the end of the garden where the couple were able to get a moment together to stroll and cuddle – pure heaven for a photographer!

The party continued long into the night in the cellar, whilst day 3 took the form of a more relaxed event and saw me coming back to photograph the Chinese tea ceremony and farewell Sunday roast! With a quick stop in the the library for a final couple photo.

Overall the weekend was a whirlwind of romance, fairytale vibes and fun! Everything I dreamed of in my dream venue!
