It was a such a lovely trip and it felt so good to feel the sun on my skin again that as always, within 24 hours of being back on good ol’ Brighton soil, we were already researching and planning our next adventure… Wanderlust kids, me and the boy.
We can hear the gorgeous Puglia calling us… Have any of you been…? Any recommendations…?
So with our love boat heading for the Mediterranean this Summer I thought I’d roll with it and look to the Olive Groves for today’s simple, rustic Coco Colour Palette…
I’m loving this gorgeous bouquet of pillowy peonies and olive leaves. For the Bride, a gorgeous silken gown in the dreamiest of champagne finished with a simple crown of green. The olive branch is a symbol of peace or victory but was historically worn by Brides, deriving from the customs of Ancient Greece, so a fitting crown for our Bride-to-be… Don’t you think…? Make a bold statement for your Groom with a suit in olive green tones, ensuring all eyes are on your delicious man.
Add a touch of sparkle to this rustic look with a sequinned table cloth in rose gold or copper, place a lone sprig of olive atop your guests plates… For favours, why not gift a beautiful homemade bottle of infused olive oil.
Decorate your cake tiers with crowns of olive leaf, topped with succulents.
Lastly, fill giant urns with lashings and lashings of foliage – I love the display below with olives still in situ – I have a soft spot for wild and rustic.

So that’s my take on Olive… I’ve highlighted some slightly unusual colours as well as the classic green | natural tones.
Are you a Med babe…?
Do you also love the simplicity and power of foliage versus floral…?
Oh and don’t forget those Puglia recommendations! I’m dying to hear about your adventures.
You can find beautiful Rustic Wedding Venues on the Coco directory, the perfect locations on which to paint a touch of the Med…
Lots of love…
