A London Story at 116 Pall Mall

Love the history and opulence of classic London venues but wondering how to paint your own wedding style on such an elaborate canvas? Then you might want to keep scrolling to see what Rebecca K. Events created at 116 Pall Mall, a stunning venue in the heart of London’s West End.
Notes from the Planner

Rebecca says…

The shoot was designed for the 116 Pall Mall team to create a story of a London couple who wanted a classic and glamour filled wedding but also wanted touches of personality sprinkled into their day. The venue is located in the centre of the city, right near the Mall heading to Buckingham Palace. 116 Pall Mall offers so many options for spaces both inside and outside and we really wanted to create a shoot to spotlight the many beautiful opportunities.

The venue has a variety of spaces that are available to use during your wedding and we wanted to showcase all of the amazing spaces. The largest room, the Nash, is grand and classic and a fantastic setting for a wedding reception. The staircase at 116 Pall Mall is a photo opportunity dream. From the amazing chandelier to the double sided staircase that makes QUITE the entryway for any couple. We used the wine bar to create a location that a couple could have a quiet moment alone after the ceremony or would be a fantastic space to host a post party as it is quite the hidden gem in the venue and adds an element of surprise to guests when they enter the original wine bar of the historic location.

We wanted to create a timeless colour palette and decor that could be used throughout the year. Mauves, soft pinks, moss green, lilac and accents of gold were used to create a sophisticated style that was not particular to any one season.

We dressed the bride in HalfPenny London Olivier dress and the statement Christian Skirt I imagined a bride walking up the staircase with a statement skirt on and afterwards removing it to showcase a simple classic dress. The venue is so grand that a classic dress made by a local London designer was perfect!

The Nash room is a very grand space that can seat 250 guests. It has amazing opulent chandeliers and large windows that have beautiful natural light surrounding it. We wanted to create a table that was large and could be a center focus whether you had a wedding for 30 or a wedding for 200 and wanted to mix it in. The raised flower arrangements were very fitting for a room that has such amazing high ceilings. We sprinkled in personalized London touches with a custom map of the couples favorite London

We worked with Miriam from Miriam Faith Floral Design who was a delight to work with! Miriam has a real luxury floral design style which was the idea of the shoot and her statement flower arrangements were perfect for this London city themed wedding shoot.

I think that even though this venue is very grand and regal feeling, the idea of the shoot was to make couples of all ages and backgrounds see that it is also very versatile to many different styles. We also wanted to showcase to couples that there are so many different venues within the venue that they can use so that their guests never have to get on coaches and go from one area of the city to the next!
