14 Fabulous Wedding Favours

Written by Emma Hla

Ah Wedding Favours…

A small and simple element of the wedding you might believe, but I’m sure it’s this little F-word that is the cause of many a stressful conversation amongst Brides & Grooms everywhere.

You want your favour to be so many things – thoughtful, memorable and something your guests actually want to take home!

For us, we ended up with a nod to tradition as well as something small our guests could keep. But if I were to have my time again, this little lot would get me thinking…

Which takes your fancy…?

# 1 Let Love Grow…

For those Brides wanting to share their favourite seasonal wedding flower, why not treats guests to a packet of seeds. Each year they will be reminded of your blossoming marriage as their seedlings bloom.

# 2 Badge of Honour…

Create a badge with your wedding date, or a monogram or maybe just some fun sayings. This is an easy (and cheap!) favour and it looks awesome in photos! We did this at our wedding and to this day I love it when these little mementos pop up around the house.

# 3 Wrap up warm…

Planning an al-fresco shindig…? Then leave blankets and shawls for your guests to use if the night air becomes a little chilly.

# 4 Tattoo Dreams…

I love the idea of this favour and my inner boho magpie is dying over these golden tats by Flash Tattoos. Also check out Tattyoo.

# 5 A Tipsy Tipple…

A great way of offering up some dutch courage to your speech-givers, a miniature bottle of something yummy. How cute is this rustic bottle of Bourbon…?

For the music lovers out there, why not create a gift of songs from your wedding. I know we spent hours curating our own playlist and a simple lyric can transport you back to a moment. Perfect.

# 10 Spread the Love…

Perfect for the Rustic Wedding and especially convenient if you have a keen jam-maker in the family! Instead of placing these jam jars on the table, why not create a gorgeous display for your guests to visit throughout the evening.

# 11 Family Recipes…

This Bride asked her guests to send in a favourite recipe which she then used to create this handcrafted and personal recipe book to give out as favours…

# 12 The Tote…

I love a bag for life. I really do. I have tons of them and there is always room for one more! Why not look at getting your own tote printed…? I especially love the packaging of this favour, it pleases my inner kilner jar collector. Bacically this favour has my name written all over it!

# 13 Cup of Rosie…

What do you need after a long, extravagant night of parting…? Yes lovelies, a cup of tea. Create your own special blend and serve to your guests. This Bride’s favours were made by her parents who own Rosie & Java, a tea and coffee merchants in Richmond. How gorgeous is that!

# 14 Simple Succulents…

The succulent, even I struggle to kill these treasures. Very hot right now, why not gift a miniature plant to each of your guests, for a modern look keep tablescapes white and let your favours do the talking.

Lots of fabulous favour love…
