I’m not sure if it’s because I’m sitting on a beach as I type this inspiration piece, but I’m currently coveting all things coastal… So, if I was to plan a wedding inspired by the great romance of the sea, it might look something like this.
Billowing silks and mermaid hair would be the desired look, a little ruffled and a whole lot of sexy. Our precious rings would be stowed away in their very own clam shell, kept safe until the moment we said our vows. The sea would be the backdrop to the ceremony and an arch would frame me and my Captain. Simple bunches of divine smelling eucalyptus would line the aisle, complimenting the fresh sea air. Watercolour would feature heavily as well as delicate hand painted details, I’m in love with these escort cards in their wash of blue and yellow. Oh and this cake…? Utterly beautiful. In the evening, as the sun sets over the celebrations, we’d make the most of the heavenly light and capture our portraits in the last of the hazy evening rays.
