Steve & Amy’s River Cottage Wedding

We’ve been crushing hard on this famous Devonshire farm recently, and the wedding of Steve & Amy is no exception. Get ready for wild florals, a blush pink dress, welly-throwing and a sparkler send-off!

Steve + Amy say…

Amy has ties to Bridport in Dorset, and we really wanted to get married in the local area. Having grown up watching River Cottage and regularly visiting the canteen in Axminster, it quickly became our first place to consider.

After seeing the venue, we made our decision and didn’t look anywhere else. We loved the idea of getting married outside and we were so lucky with the weather on the day. We hired the River Cottage games package which included welly throwing, skittles and coconut shire. Everyone loved the welly throwing and one guest won a golden welly signed by Hugh Fearnley- Whittingstall.

We loved River Cottage as a venue because of its rustic charm and relaxed and natural beauty. The venue didn’t need anything adding, as it was exactly what we were looking for. We arranged a few additional flowers and had sparklers in the evening which the guests loved.

We just keep getting so many messages saying what an amazing photographer Sarah-Jane was! We feel so lucky to have had her to take the photos. When we were looking for a photographer it was really important to find someone with a relaxed style and could capture the day in a natural way. When we found SJ, we knew that we had found the perfect photographer!

SJ’s photography style is bright, natural and beautiful, we couldn’t have been more thrilled with the images. She was truly amazing, we couldn’t have asked for more.
